Going off on a tangent slightly, I do recall the first year back in the premiership, walking up the concourse on the opening day fixture and seeing loads of bodies near our seats, where the seasons before, we basically had the row to ourselves.
Anyhoo, a few matches in and our general tardy timekeeping, pre-half time loo requirements and late coming back after half time, where normally met with a tut or an exhale as we had to work our way past the newbies, however, on one game, where we didn't leave the pub in good time, my mate was physically struck by one newbie who exclaimed "you two are always bloody late, you reek of alcohol and we're all fed up of having to move for you". Her hubby just watched this all unfold with his head in his hands.
They moved seats the game after but we always gave them a friendly wave when we saw them. Didn't see them after we got relegated though. |  |

It was amazing how many fans like that appeared out of the woodwork that Summer.
I suppose it's slightly encouraging that, if we did get promoted again, there would be some decent attendances regularly. |  |
