Afternoon all, my first post as not really one for posting, but I am a frequent follower of the TWTD board and all you avid posters. I do appreciate the topics you raise and interesting debate this stimulates, so thank you all. My post is not really for debate just a real shock of current state of affairs at ITFC.
I would like share my genuine surprise following a friend’s cancellation of season ticket today. Like many i have grumbled and moaned throughout periods of ups and downs and listened to him say "that's it for me", but l i never thought he would actually be frustrated so much to leave the club he has supported for many years. I'm sure you all know someone, or maybe it is you, a real diehard fan, a blue from childhood who has supported for many years through thick and thin. Sadly this long term fan has called it a day and i genuinely feel quite disappointed it has finally reached a point in which the year on year fan is now walking away.
It was more therapeutic to share this disappointment with fellow fans, than keep this one bottled up. I listened to Mick Mills on my way home from the match on Tuesday night and he alluded that attendance figures would only drop as a result of transient fans leaving and not the season ticket holders; sadly I can highlight one casualty already.
I would be grateful for gentle ride on comments following the post, but i am aware of the "Banter" that can flow back. Please remember you'll be old one day too.

Lots of our older ST holders are feeling the same. The club is hemorrhaging fans and it will be really hard to entice them back.
The football on offer over the past 2 years has been diabolical, how people have persevered with it is beyond me. |  |

Welcome to the board. Yes, it's a mess at the moment: partly this division becoming all about money, partly Evans not knowing what to do now, partly MM's conservative nature and the weaknesses of the squad and partly the sense of drift and inertia at the club these days. |  |

It is a shame to see this happening, but no surprise. Evans and Milne have completely ruined this football club with their minimal activity and safe approach. I do wonder what's going to happen when the season ticket sales drop 2/3000 in summer |  |

I'm guessing that Mick Mills, hero that he is, is talking bobbins. Presumably there's a significant number of the 12-15,000 fans we've lost since the last PL stint were ST holders. It would be interesting to see what the figures are, but I bet they're significant. |  |
