Agreed, they were better in most positions, which pretty much illustrates my point. Most of our best English Premiership players are not actually international standard. Power and athleticism can get you to the top in the Premiership, but you need more to be international class.

Beckham was a regular at the sharp end of the world player of the year vote a few times around the turn of the century. For a while he was right up there. And I'm pretty sure he was regular at real.

I can't see any difference between this sh!te and spot fixing in other sports where players get hefty fines/bans and even imprisonment. It might not have been arranged for financial gain, but plenty of people clearly have made money out of it. I hate modern football. |  | | |
