The Railway Telegraph near Thornton Heath station used to be decent & is away fan friendly. It's a 15-20 minute walk to the ground. Not many decent pubs near the ground that are away friendly from my memories. |  |

There are four pubs and two are definitely for home fans (Cherry Tree and Albion). Not idea about Jolly Sailor, but never liked the place myself. That leaves the Shelverdine Goathouse, which is where the Wetherspoons used to be on the high street. If the weather is okay you can also get bottled beers in Yeha Noha Cafe and there is space to stand outside (this is on the right as you are walking along the station road). |  | | |

On the ITFC official site is an away guide including pubs for away fans at Norwood Junction and Thornton Heath. Sorry, can't link off this device until I learn how to use it better! London Bridge also a good option, or the new craft bars at East Croydon. | | | |

Can't keep this place secret. Am in the Porter & Sorter, right next to East Croydon station (back entrance behind the cab rank). It's a slightly scuzzy Marstons, with absolutely excellent Pedigree and Landlord. Also has their Empire IPA, bit too strong for early evening, especially as I really want to see the game properly.
