I have been keeping an eye on this one with Tranmere's forum in the background. After the red card, Tranmere took the lead after six minutes via a Paul Cook header.
Tranmere made a tactical substitution to readjust after the red card, but they have since then been forced to make two more substitutions due to injuries. The 10 men then held on until the eighth minute of first half stoppage time when Boreham Wood equalised.
At 70 minutes it is still 1-1, but Tranmere fans fear the worst. To quote one of their fans a few minutes ago: "Today will never be beaten as the most depressing day for this club, if we don't pull off a shock in the next 30 minutes." |  |

To be fair New Wembley has lost a lot of its shine, the final I went to a few years ago didnt feel like it was being played on hallowed turf, with the FA entertaining selling it I find it hard to give the place the respect it should have if the football organisation isn't willing to. | |

Too many other stadiums feel like Wembley. The Emirates, The Etihad ... you get that same feeling inside them. It doesn’t feel like ‘the pinnacle’ like it did in 1978 and 2000. | |

Even though there was 75,000 empty seats! How exciting. A packed ground, a decent playing surface, top class facilities and an atmosphere to get the blood flowing....still would prefer to play at a full stadium than at Wembley today. | |
