Decent signing for them. Brizzle must be gutted to lose both Reid and Flint in the space of a day, even if they've probably bagged £17m for the pair. Quite obscene what Championship players are going for now.

Like £8m for a defender we signed from Chippenham for less than a family car, who played a couple of seasons for us?

Or the bloke we picked up from Portsmouth for about £750k and sold for £3.5m plus add-ons. Not to mention a FGR striker upon whom we made a tidy profit. Then there's Wickham and a few others besides.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Tongue in cheek guys, but on a serious note it is a little upsetting when Bristol City get £17 million for two players, whereas we bag £3.5 million for one of our best players and most promising prospects for future years. I know there's add-ons but it just seemed we were a little naive and short-changed on this one.

Webster one of our best players? I mean, potentially, when he was fully fit. Which was rarely.

It's potentially £8m. Looking at it we are going to end up getting about £5m, unless Brizzle go up. £5m for a defender who is rarely fit when a young striker who was one of the most lethal in the Championship went for £10m is good business!

Not only that, if there is truth to what they are saying, that Webster was really keen on moving, if we set the price too high, and Bristol pull out, we'll probably be stuck with a miserable, injured centre back until January.

If they don't want to play for Ipswich , then we can show them the door. There's no point hanging onto players who don't want to be here. It's disruptive, and if there's one thing Mick got right it's putting together a squad of players who seem like they share a real spirit together.

Would be interesting to know why. He is from Chichester, right near Pompey. About 3 hours from here? Bristol is about 3 hours from there. So not closer to home. They might pay him a bit more, it's a nicer place to live I'd have thought and they are slightly closer to us to getting into the Premier League based on last season, but not an obvious move. Nobody would be shocked to see us finish above them. It's not like Mick is still here and he's had enough of him. It's a new manager who is highly rated. Would be interesting if he felt Mick's regime was part of why he was injured. Wouldn't that be intriguing.
