3 Best/ Worst ITFC loan signings? 00:21 - Jan 5 with 15347 views | radiogaga | With all this talk of loans recently, who are your 3 best and worst loan signings? My 3 best would be: Dos Santos (only for a month or so, but was easily one of the most talented footballers we've had at the club for some time) Bullard (class when we had him on loan in 2010/2011) Reuser in 2000 (Don't need to explain) My 3 worst would be: Mark Fish (Hauled off at half time on his debut, and never seen again) Zeki Fryers (Utterly horrendous performance at Huddersfield a few years back, not seen again after) Jordan Graham (2 loans spells, impressively ineffective both times) [Post edited 5 Jan 2019 0:22]

3 Best/ Worst ITFC loan signings? on 09:20 - Jan 5 by urbanblue | I'll raise you Rory Fallon ... Unbelievable that at the time he was meant to solve a striker problem! |
He actually played all right. Terrible shout for worst loan.

3 Best/ Worst ITFC loan signings? on 09:31 - Jan 5 by Bluefish | Top thread this. I thought you had nailed it with your picks bit some other strong suggestions. How about a loan XI we suggest all nominees and then I will run a poll for each position? Has to be based on loan performance so Bart is not in but Bullard is. Players can only be one 1 position |
2 gk nominations Pollitt should lose points for only 1 appearance though Begovic

I think Jamie Clapham was initially a loan. Got to be a shout for one of the best....

3 Best/ Worst ITFC loan signings? on 08:38 - Jan 5 by gainsboroughblue | He did. He had an absolute belter and I was waxing lyrical about him at sixth form on the Monday. On the Tuesday at home v Portmsouth, he was utter horsesh!t and got progressively worse from there. Think the Watford game was 3-3. |
From the same era Scott Houghton and John Moncur were decent. Michael Clegg was terrible.

3 Best/ Worst ITFC loan signings? on 00:37 - Jan 5 by evansblue | I liked Mark Noble, Alan Mahon and Chris Bart Williams back in 2006. Think they arrived at the same time and helped kick start our season under Royle. The best loan signing of the lot though was Jim Magilton. |
Wasn’t it Simon Walton who arrived alongside Mark a noble?

He really was some player, internazionale loan?

I've made separate threads for the back 5 but added them both

3 Best/ Worst ITFC loan signings? on 10:45 - Jan 5 with 5511 views | Oxford_Blue | Marcus Stewart - basically without him I doubt we’d have gone up. Lawrence - single handedly saved us from relegation. Holland - a great buy from lower leagues who went on to be club captain and international. Worst - any three by Hurst.

Got a red card in his first game IIRC

Two of those three weren't loans.

3 Best/ Worst ITFC loan signings? on 08:11 - Jan 5 by Herbivore | I'm going to throw Chris Wood into the mix for worst. Came in when our season was still alive and looked so out of shape he played like a big lump of a Sunday league forward and our season fizzled out. We've had worse players I'm sure, but based on cost and expectation versus performance he was terrible. |
I remember the game at Huddersfield where he got hauled off at half time. It was possibly the worst ITFC striker performance I've seen.

3 Best/ Worst ITFC loan signings? on 10:59 - Jan 5 with 5486 views | wkj | I would have to replace Dos Santos with Magic in the list; purely because of the impact he had long term. Granted we signed him as a player come the end of the loan, but to this day one of my favourite moments was the crowd chanting "Sheepshanks, get your chequebook out", which he did and waved it to the crowd. If you exclude the loans that became permanent like Magilton and Reuser, I'd also put Sixto at the top. One of the most skillful midfielders I've had the pleasure of seeing in a Town shirt despite the circumstances that season. Surprised no-one's mentioned Harewood in the latter category.
3 Best/ Worst ITFC loan signings? on 13:47 - Jan 5 with 5377 views | MalcolmBlue | I seem to remember Marlon Harewood being woeful, probably wouldn't feature in a bottom 3 but I remember him hitting the post from about 2 yards out from an open goal
