Wicked Willy's on Bleecker Street is a dive bar student type place with beer pong and all that shizzle. Bleecker's a great place to go if you're in the city. Loads of good bars and restaurants there. | | | |

The Trailer Park Lounge, 3 minute walk from the Chelsea Hotel on West 23rd Street, is mental and fun. It's packed with every bit of Americana you can imagine. We had an amazing Sloppy Joe with tater tots in there.
If you want somewhere a bit classier, The Charleston in Brooklyn (Bedford Avenue) is nice. |  |

There's a quirky hidden burger place in a hotel not far from Central Park/5th Ave which we discovered when we went just before covid. It does a great burger:

And then Katz Delicatessen is a little away from the centre of manhatten but do a great Philly Cheese Steak and is famed for being the diner where Harry met Sally. Worth the trip in my view - tip upon ordering for generous portion sizes.
Joe's Pizza is one of the best takeaway pizzas you can get - so make sure to grab a slice at the end of the night when you're there. |  | | |

If you’re ordering anything other than the pastrami on rye in Katz then you’re doing it wrong. Tipping generously for a larger portion is correct although the portion sizes are already enough to feed a family for a week…but we’ll worth it anyway |  |
