Morsy being left out of the squad again, whilst this is good for Ipswich I am
really surprised, one of the best midfielders in the championship you’d think that would get him back into being a squad regular. Does anyone have much knowledge of how the Pharoahs line up or who they play in midfield and have on the bench ahead of Morsy ?

They predominately pick players playing in Egypt. Out of their last 25 man squad, only 7 played abroad.

That is great for us; don’t need him traveling and playing extra games.

Enduringly lovable, intelligent and thunderingly exquisite.

If they do call him up to be a bench warmer it'll be interesting to see what he chooses to do if we are still in the top 2. Will he prefer to have the experience of being at a major international tournament but not playing much or would he rather be a key part of a promotion chasing team in the Championship? It's not an easy call.

If he is to be called up in January presumably he should time his next ban to coincide with a game when he is on international duty? Wonder if the rules take that into account.

Very surprised that he's not in the squad. Their loss is our gain especially if they don't take him to Afcon.

I think I saw someone mention earlier that he'd declined it a few years ago, no idea if true but it would be great if he did this time round.
