I’m torn whether getting promoted ‘there’ would be a good thing or not.

For anyone wanting to reply with ‘let’s not get ahead of ourselves’ this thread isn’t for you :-)

The correct answer is 'as soon as we can'.

The earlier the better, in terms of the up coming Summer transfer window. Getting a two or three week head start on next season, has to be a good thing, imo.
Plus, it would be a nice touch to give some minutes to squad players in any home dead rubbers. Obv's a few will be moving on should we go up. Be nice to give them a send off for their efforts..Imo.

Why would getting promoted there not be a good thing?

Other than at PR, I can't think of anywhere better.

Can you imagine the way they’d react as we get promoted to the premier league by winning in their back yard.

Christ the thought alone of it makes me horny.

IF it comes to promotion, I couldn't give two hoots about Norwich quite frankly. The local derby itself is the spectacle in of itself - I don't need a Stadium full of opposition supporters to validate my feelings about being promoted, Norwich or otherwise.

The best way to enjoy promotion is always going to be at portman road, that's where the memories are and that's where the legacy was built - not some sh*t hole by a Morrisons car park

I’d have to seriously consider flying back from my family holiday to attend if that were a possibility

Oh, sorry!

Seriously though, one game at a time and let's check the state of play at the end of the transfer window.

This is probably me being a pessimistic and paranoid grumpy old grumblenuts, but we're in danger of being a bit Leedsesque as a fan base. "You've seen the Ipswich now fook off home" as an example.

I get the fact there's a whole swathe of fans who've been starved of anything to shout about so fair cop, just saying loike.
