I know the ref gave permission before he handled it, but why?

It was more of a deflection I guess but I think it was a measured and calculated one.

Because it wasn't an intentional back pass, he just stuck his foot out to stop the ball going out to the player behind him.

Obviously wasn't a back pass. Was more stuck a foot at it.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

Looked pretty measured on the replay.

Because he didn’t pass it back deliberately, he stuck a foot out and it deflected backwards towards their keeper.

Looked a back pass from just behind the goal where it happened. Ref was shocking again though.

Because the ref was watching a completely different game and didn't have VAR to rely on to dig him out of his mistakes

Looked an obvious back pass to me.

Nope, was definitely guided back to the keeper.

Just need an offside goal and a goal from a clear foul to go our way now.

Must be because the ref deemed it an interception/block rather than a deliberate pass. Not an opportunity we missed out on though because as you say the keeper sought permission first.

Def back pass. No doubt.

Ref couldn’t do anything right. Completely out of his depth.

Can’t wait. Hopefully both come in the same game when we’ve gifted 2 goals to the opposition, and we crawl back a draw.

I'd rather we get them in a game that would otherwise be 0-0 so it genuinely evens itself up.

Don't think it was deliberately played towards the keeper looking at the replay.

Never a deliberate back pass

That was an obvious backpass otherwise .

And in SBR Upper, it didn't look like a back pass to me or my mate in real time.

But I could understand the goalkeeper being a bit unsure.
