I am certain that Hladky is only first choice because Walton started the season injured. I am sure that, had he been fit, Walton was the first choice. How that would have impacted our season no one knows. However, Hladky has been superb over the season. I think few would have expected that but he joined us off the back of being the best keeper in League 2 so it shouldn't be a surprise.
I think he will be replaced in the Prem but you never know. |  |

Hladky made a fantastic save in the 103rd min to save us against Sunderland. Had that gone in, who knows how the season may have played out with 1 point against 10 men on opening day |  |

Hindsight is a womderful thing, but when we got Walton there no mistaking who the better keeper was out of the two. It has to me said that Hladky is one of many player who have come on leaps and bounds under McKenna's stewardship and has, at very least, been as good as Walton. |  |

Wes Burns. This season is the first time I’ve seen him live. He’s a far better player than he looks on tv - some players are (e.g. Paul Mariner).
Aside from the obvious things like pace, Burns gets into positions and makes runs defenders absolutely hate. When out injured it really showed. |  | | |

Hutch for me has to be the best loan we've had since Magic came in from Weds. If we go up I reckon Chelsea will happily let him go out for a year of prem experience. | |

No as I'm fully aware of his positive attributes.
Burgess.. I never thought in a millions years that he'd be able to step up to this level in such a way.
His touch and passing has come on massively and of course his power in the air is excellent anyway
He still struggles at times against fast feet coming at him. But we've looked worse without Burgess in the side which I think anyway the stats back up. ( I'm probably wrong here lol ). [Post edited 2 May 19:38]

On the other side of the coin I thought Pigott would be a good signing for us. A Leyton supporting friend reckons he’s one of the worst players he’s ever seen there and he will be gone in the summer if they can get rid. I think there was a tragedy with a family member when he joined us and it’s been a rough time for him. 8 goals in 3 seasons when he was banging in 15-20+ a season for Wimbledon | |

I thought Burgess was a typical average League One defender. Good with his head defending crosses and corners but limited in his pace, positioning and passing. I think maybe he should have scored more this season but at the back he's been superb. |  | | |

Remember being under whelmed when we signed Mark Venus, Jermaine Wright - both went onto to be very, very good players.
Wouldn't say I misjudged Hladky - truth is he is performing at a much higher standard now than earlier in his Towen career which is great for him (and us) |  |

All relative to expectations, isn't it? Good servant, who stays fit, trains well, behaves professionally is what you want from a fringe player and 7 goals/assists in 939 minutes is a great return for that kind of squad member. |  |
