I have just read that Brighton, Everton, Inter and Wolfsburg are chasing 23 year old right back Yukinari Sugawara from Alkmaar for a rumoured 6 mill. Maybe this could count as the second given the Alkmaar link, even though he is Japanese.
On a serious note, Japanese footballers would fit into the McKenna system well. These are the sort of players we could be looking at, 4 goals and 6 assists in Dutch League, not quite Leif numbers but would offer similar style on the right. |  | | |
