The Battenberg or window cake, as it should be correctly named, is nice. I like it, even if I’ve not tried it in years. I love fondant fancies too. Especially the pink ones.

Is that so bad? Does it make me a wicked person? I care not and am happy to defend the honour of these marvellous creations.

I'm not saying it definitely makes you a bad or wicked person ( I'm gonna need more data). It's just never gonna set the cake world alight is it.

I'm the other way round, like almonds (mostly, not keen on Disarrono) but can't stand marzipan. I liked it as a kid but gradually went off it, too sweet and a bit perfumey.

The only people banging on about it are people like you.

There are far worse things said on here than that. I genuinely worry about how some of you get through real life when you cry over a few divs like me using the word “elite” on an internet forum.

You really need to man/woman up and get over it.
