I think United have bigger problems off the pitch which affects the on-field situation. Might be smart to keep ETH there as both a demolition man and a whipping boy for the time being. They're introducing a new structure and they're unlikely to get it right straight away. Might as well keep ETH there whilst they're still trying to shake off the basket case side and offload a bunch of overpaid flops.

I think if you did a straw poll of Utd fans whether he'd be here next season or not (not whether they want him to be) it would have been more like 80/20 Go/Stay so the article does suggest it's much more in the balance than it might seem like from the outside. | |
