I've known it happen before, Lee Martin took one to go to Charlton on loan, if I remember correctly. Presumably the clubs couldn't agree on the percentages they would pay during his spell, so he stepped in to meet the difference. Cardiff are keen to reduce their outgoings - Warnock said they couldn't sign anyone else in Cardiff due to FFP - which may have meant they wanted us to pay more than we were prepared to. |  | | |
