Other than that not much to disagree with really, i think they have good reason to feel aggrieved with the ref.

Wimbledon view on last night on 14:19 - Aug 21 with 5387 views | MrTown | Schooled us for 80 minutes. Steady on now. They came and aimed to contain for 95 minutes, they got the goal which was a good finish, gave them something to hang onto a offered very little otherwise. We were poor last night and I'm still not sure 3 points were unjustified in the context of the full 95 minutes.

Wimbledon view on last night on 14:19 - Aug 21 with 5383 views | BrixtonBlue | Saying we hadn't cheered like that since we won the UEFA cup is just silly. I doubt he's seen much of us to make that assertion... and we just celebrated like any team would after a 94th minute winner. To moan about time moving slowly is hilarious as well, given all their time wasting antics.

Wimbledon view on last night on 14:21 - Aug 21 with 5350 views | Steve_M | The only point I really disagree with this that we got stronger, and more threatening, as the second half went on and not only after Norwood scored. That went up a notch after the equaliser but we were increasing the pressure beforehand. Also, as I discussed with a few Wimbledon fans on the train up to Ipswich, we're low on confidence on the back of some fairly awful home form. That showed last night too but I wouldn't expect them to make allowances for us given the disparity in budgets but it was almost a case of them playing us at a good time.

No they didn't. We had 62% of the possession.

Have to take your hats of to their travelling fans last night, I thought were superb. Stuck with their team until the very end.

Wimbledon view on last night on 14:23 - Aug 21 with 5319 views | Superfrans | The general view of the AFCW fans I spoke to on the way home was follows: * blimey, we were lucky. 1-1 would have been fairer. * some doubt about the corner that we scored our first goal from. A suggestion that the changed his mind after initially being about to give a goal kick. * the ref also should potentially have red carded one of their players following a class with one of our guys. Not sure when this was or who it involved. * otherwise though the ref was a homer and big clubs like ours will always get the benefit of the doubt over small clubs like AFCW. * surprisingly little between the team given that our wage bill is probably three times theirs.

That doesn't equate to "outplaying" a team.

No, i know, but I'd argue that 50% of that 62% you quoted was spent ineffectually passing it around our back four or clogged up in midfield. Wimbledon at least pushed down the flanks and attempted to go attack purposefully. Norwood being out jumped by bigger men was not great attacking play.

Yes. It's the sort of slightly bitter, frustrated comment normally made after a defeat like that. It's quite funny but we all know how he's feeling.

They definitely did not out play us for the first 45 minutes. It was 2 very poor teams, but we still remained the better of the worse teams. They hit us with a sucker punch, and it gave them something to get behind the ball for. Until...….. JAAAAAAACKKKSSOOOOONNNNNN, JACKSON WINS IT FOR TOWNNNNNN.

They were time-wasting for most of the second half, a few of them deserved it for that alone. The number 30 deserved his booking for a foul. And they should have all started on one yellow card for an awful kit.

That's all relatively true, but they were lucky not to give away that penalty as the keeper made the sot of challenge that any other player anywhere else on the pitch might walk for. I get why in their position though they'd be gutted and looking for blame, they were probably thinking it was their night for a lot of that game and ready to celebrate a massive scalp.

Someone was suggesting that... on 14:57 - Aug 21 with 4854 views | unstableblue | Wimbledon fans felt they didn’t play well last night.. whereas those we spoke to at the station and views on line felt they’d played out of their skins first half and it was a lack of striker firepower I thought they did a good inhullifying dozzell, Rowe and Mizouni
