That was yesterday.
However, it was more a statement of the only thing other than being very out of favour which might explain him not even being on the bench. In reality, not looking good for him. | |

I’d be disappointed if we lose Edwards as a result of Hutchinson. Excited by having Hutchinson here but there is no guarantee he delivers. Remember Louie Barry.
If he ends up not being the hype then we have a failed loan and have lost Edwards.

I am not someone who believes in wholesale changes for cup games ordinarily, I think it disrupts teams/systems and I am of the mindset you should only rest your unfit or injured for these games, maybe in the same way you might do if you are playing a weaker league opponent and you may have a key player carrying a knock, so you can get away with. I think part of my attitude comes from what happened in the Evans era, where we couldn't even get going in the EFL Trophy for a bit of a cup run against 3rd and 4th tier teams mixed with kids, let alone be bothered with turning up to play non-league sides in the FA Cup.
However, it worked tonight, the players who came in all looked like they wanted to be there and wanted to actually win the game. I hope that we continue to treat all cup games with respect and to be a competitive club again, and let's be honest, Ipswich is a big enough club to win the league cup, so why not have a go? Some big clubs have already gone out. |  | | |
