Chatting to PJH yesterday and we reckon he's on about 1500 matches since first taken as a 3 year old. 1200 home, about 300 away.
I reckon I am less than 1/3 of the way to 1000, though I had gone to Maine Road and the Baseball ground.

He would have been when I did because my very first football memory is of seeing Jack Parry play in goal.

Sad thing that I am I have a spreadsheet that tracks all the games (Town and others) that I've been to. Saturday v Leeds will be number 1,800, since my first, at Dartford, in 1965. I still do most homes games but just a handful of away games now. A friend of mine, who has barely missed a game, home or away since the mid 70's, must be well past the 2,000 mark now. |  |

Since I started counting at the start of the 09/10 season, I've been to 365 out of 387 matches. I've had a season ticket since the 06/07 season and went to about 10 away games each season. Before 06/07, I lived abroad or in Scotland so would only see a handful of games a season.
In total I reckon I'm on about 600.

Wish I'd thought of that, but my first game was in 1968, so a pencil and paper would have been needed. But when I have some time on my hands I might try to figure out how many. It was around 40 games a season for much of the Robson years, but we used to paly far more matches in those days. FA Cup, EUFA Cup, League Cup, Texaco Cup etc.

I know a lot of Town fans who have claimed they attended a particular game when clearly they didn't. In fact I would estimate if I went on those who claimed they went to the Cup Final Town had over 150,000 fans in Wembley that day |  | | |

I've just totted up an estimate which came out at about 330-ish so i guess I'm in the same bracket as you.
'98 was my first game as a young kid, had a period between 2000-05 where i barely missed a game but has tailed off in recent years as I went away to university and ultimately moved away from Ipswich. These days i expect to get to about a dozen or so a year, mixture of home and away. |  | | |
