Middle aged men wearing Peaky Blinders hats in pubs on 23:10 - Dec 5 by eireblue
Oh.....okay.....but they all had peaky blinder haircuts right?
Actually it was the great grandson of a peaky. They were just a band of nasty street hoodlums, drunks and petty thieves in late 19th century Brum. I would think the haircuts are a myth too.
I have one. Like a lot of people I had it before being aware of “Peaky Blinders”. Were you unaware of their existence as a stylish functional hat before seeing them on the telly?

Gilbert O'Sullivan. I used to love him!
Probably the most heartbreaking verse in a song:
And at sixty-five years old My mother, God rest her soul Couldn't understand why the only man She had ever loved had been taken Leaving her to start With a heart so badly broken Despite encouragement from me No words were ever And when she passed away I cried and cried all day Alone again, naturally Alone again, naturally

If I give up the seat I've been saving To some elderly lady or man Am I being a good boy? Am I your pride and joy? Mother please if you think say I am And if while in the course of my duty I perform an unfortunate take Would you punish me so Unbelievably so Never again will I make that mistake This feeling inside me could never deny me The right to be wrong if I choose And this pleasure I get From say winning a bet Is to lose
When I'm drinking my Bonaparte Shandy Eating more than enough apple pies Will I glance at my screen And see real human beings Starve to death right in front of my eyes
This feeling inside me could never deny me The right to be wrong if I choose And this pleasure I get From say winning a bet Is to lose
Nothing good, nothing bad, nothing ventured Nothing gained, nothing still-born or lost Nothing further than proof, nothing wilder than youth Nothing older than time, nothing sweeter than wine Nothing physically recklessly, hopelessly blind Nothing I couldn't say Nothing why 'cos today Nothing rhymed
