Rishi Sunak's Spring Statement 13:29 - Mar 23 with 3392 views | blueasfook | Have to say I am rather pleased with it. Cut on fuel duty, NI threshold increased and a 1p cut on income tax. All helpful to us hard-working folk who have nice cars to run. Thanks Mr Sunak!

Not everyone loves Corbyn and his marxist ideals you know. Some people believe in rewarding hard working folk. Is that difficult for you to comprehend?

Rishi Sunak's Spring Statement on 13:49 - Mar 23 with 1780 views | Guthrum | To be fair, the NI threshold rise will make a reasonable difference to working people on low wages. Either taking them out of tax altogether (if earning £9k to £12k), or reduce the income NI is levied on by a fair bit (if, say, on around 15k, will halve the liability). Doesn't help those on less than £9k or the unemployed, but they were flying below the tax system anyway. Would need actual benefits increases to sort that.

In the UK we seem to be rewarding a lack of hard work. Considering our low productivity. It’s too easy to make money doing nothing. And too hard to make money working.

Rishi Sunak's Spring Statement on 13:50 - Mar 23 with 1764 views | HARRY10 | So the net overall 'cut' is actually still a rise in fuel costs - remove the 5p, then compare it to a pre Xmas and there is NO 1p, there is just an intention, as a pre election bribe, nothing now and no cut to VAT on electricity which was claimed could happen after brexit (another lie) the elephant in the room is the huge profits being made by the oil companies. any government not beholden to multi nationals would tax those profits back to the level before the price hike, not penalising but ensuring they are not profiteering as to removal of VAT on solat pabels, thos is just removing what they put on when the Tory view was it was 'green crap' (Cameron), 'skin off a rice pudding '(Johnson) so all in all, a Dick Turpin 'budget' - hand back the bits not wanted but still keeo the good stuff

Living off a couple of decent games years ago is the sign of a desperate has-been looking for one last hurrah. You remind me of Nigel Reo Coker. Kicked the ball a bit, pis*ed a few people off, fell over trying a Cryuff turn, got rumbled then disappeared in a blaze of meh. Show us you’ve still got it, tiger.

I think there’s certainly a good argument for that in many, many industries/sectors. Isn’t there that semi-serious law about work always filling the time available? I’ve seen that happen far too much in different projects with no rise in quality or value, often the exact opposite.
