Could Yengi be the answer 19:58 - Dec 31 with 2669 views | Kesgrave_Exile | As we are currently short of strikers I know he didn't do too well in his last loan in Finland but surely he is a better bet than the 18 year old. He is a big physical lad I don't think it would harm to have him on the bench. I assume he is off as he wasn't in the squad at QPR.

Could Yengi be the answer on 21:21 - Dec 31 with 2287 views | Eireannach_gorm | I'm inclined to agree with you but he is still raw. He needs time in the lower leagues to get the corners knokked off him but I think we should be making plans for when we get into the Premiership to sustain the promotion. His physicality is necessary against good defenders. Apologies I missed the bit where he is gone. I think we should have stuck with him for a bit longer as we need to plan for new blood coming through. When and if we get to the Premiership we are going to need young fast players to upset defences as we definitely dont have the talent to pass our way round at the top level [Post edited 31 Dec 2023 21:27]

Bit of a moot point now he's left, but he couldn't have played as he was on loan in Finland since the last transfer window closed. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Always a bit of a bizarre signing, seemed like an Ashton data dashboard thing rather than anything Paul Cook knew about.

He was fit, but always on the periphery and spent most of his time here out on loan. Given the speed of the Livingston transfer, feel this transfer was known about for a while. We are a bit low on strikers now. Hirst injured, Scarlet out, Yengi (even if he was never really in the mix) out. Wonder if Broadhead has recovered from his illness?

Looks like that happened yesterday? We have got a fee out of it, which isn't bad work, you have to say [Post edited 1 Jan 8:02]

He was brought over by Andy Costin who was an Aussie Sports Science guy we brought in presumably as a cheap punt (and looks as though we signed wrong brother!). Did well enough on loans in Finland, struggled at Northampton….Costin moved to the MLS and Yengi never kicked on enough. Physically is very impressive though so guess a chance he can put it all together
