2-3 more points and we're fine.

It's going to be a low total needed for safety this year.

ive got a good point if we had sacked roy 6 months ago we would be well safe now and probably concerned about who we would be playing in the playoffs about now

Pointless argument, Benny.

Think we may require more than 2-3. More like 5-6, I suspect

I have us down for 54 points- which will be more than enough. I have the third from bottom team with 48 points. Watford and Sheffield Wednesday have some tough games.

will be close, I think we'll escape by 3-4 points in the end. I calculate Palace to end up on 48, so we'll be fine

48 points, our current tally, would have been enough to stay up last season. I'm not sure it will be this time around.

We've taken 10 points from our last 6 games (the 6th best in the division); the same again would see us on 58 points in around 13th place.

Crystal Palace's win at Watford (why couldn't we do that?) has opened things up a bit. I think we will be okay and hopefully we will limp away to safety ahead of a Palace side that had a 10 point deduction and is in financial administration. What a season!

53 is the magic number.
I do not want Palace to go down as it would be tough on their fans to be relegated for non-footballing reasons.
I hope that Watford go down because we seem to be incapable of beating them.

I think if we get something out of our remaining home games i.e. Reading D, Doncaster W and Sheff Utd D, that will do us,
Can't really see us getting much away from home to be honest so lets hope PR all of a sudden becomes a fortrous!!!...lol
Teams to go down, Posh, Sheff Wed and saddly Palace, i love selhurst park.......NOT.

bennyblue- 40 points from the last 26 games, i fail to see how any other manager would have us in a much better position after the abysmal to start to the season.

To be honest i think we are safe now, but 2 more wins will see us firmly secure a mid-table finish, and we can push on to promotion next season.

Everytime I thought we'd turned the corner this season we have gone on to put in a bad performance that dropped us in it.

To the troll from a certain third tier team with a very empty trophy cabinet:- good effort on the avatar, shame about the posts.

Exeter Blue - you are absolutely right. Take away the mare of a start and we would be very interestingly placed - and probably be playing with more confidence. This has been a poor season and we may yet only just stumble across the finishing line, but Keane will be an excellent manager, I have no doubt!

Perhaps we should recall our former goal scoring genius Marcus Stewart from Exeter???

COYB!!

Yes BathBlue - and perhaps we should buy back 'our former goal scoring genius' Jordan Rhodes.

You are yet another one of the pro-keane brigade ad simply cannot see sense, like good football or actually want our club to succeed ......madness in my opinion...way to many of you muppets wear rose tinted spectacles and simply will not accept ROY KEANE IS A POOR MANAGER.....HE CANNOT MANAGE ITFC AND NEVER WILL

what a great idea lets just take out all the games where we dont like the result we could get a special dispensation from the fa and those first 10 games could be turned into 60 pts for us we could get those tossers in buckingham palace too award roy a honourable most bestess man in the unerverse for being so gallant against those cheating clubs that beat us unfairly by scoring more goals than us.perhaps we could get a little picture of roy peeping over the queens right hand shoulder minted on all the british coins come to think of it those damned europeans should praise sir roy as well and we could make them put his miserable mug on the euro as well what about those savages in the commonwealth they could award him a most treasured knight of the punctured condom sainthood and give him his own pencil and rubber set its all so simple why didnt i realize none of the past has to have happened we have sir roy and will always be champions of the world how could i have made such a huge mistake and believe we would have too abide by the laws of reality we have roy these laws dont apply to us god save the queen and roy keane

Why so cynical benny?

The answer of course is to get rid of all the players that Sir Roy hasn't bought into the club. Because they're all rubbish.

And then in 3 years time Town will be playing Total Football in the Champions League just like Holland used to do in the 70s.

In Roy we rust.

I think it looks like Palace or Wednesday. The match up betwen the two at Hilsborough will be interesting. Even if Town fail to get another point this season, the others below have tough matches as well and if things go to form we will still be safe
