Trotter in Play-Off Action
Trotter in Play-Off Action
Friday, 14th May 2010 09:11

On-loan midfielder Liam Trotter will be in play-off action with Millwall when they visit Huddersfield on Saturday afternoon (Sky Sports One, noon). The 21-year-old is involved in the League One play-offs for the second year running, having helped Scunthorpe into the Championship last season, coincidentally beating Millwall in the final at Wembley.

Trotter will come up against former Town team-mates Jordan Rhodes and Gary Roberts when they take on the Terriers, while ex-Blue Scott Barron is also in the Lions squad. The second leg at the Den is on Tuesday.

Town boss Roy Keane has offered Trotter a new contract with his current terms up in the summer, while Millwall want to sign him on a permanent basis and other Championship and League One clubs are also likely to be interested.

Think he'll be crazy to accept a new deal - unless of course Millwall don't win the play-offs!!!

How will be break up the Leadbitter/Norris partnership? Or is he back up should Garvan go.

Trotter did not look up to the job when playing consistantly for Ipswich during our worst start to the season for years, but he is still young and has room for improvement. Worth having as back-up probably, if he will sign. At least if he leaves we should get a small fee for him.

Trotter was awful under Magic and again under Keane. Move on.

and yes I do know he scored twice for us against Southend in a pre season friendly.

Some players that Keane loaned out / sold at the start of the season:-

Trotter - in play offs doing well (albeit at lower level)
Rhodes - in play offs and doing VERY well, again at lower level.
Haynes - 2nd top scorer for Bristol City, who finished higher than us.
Bruce - in play offs for Champ team, obviously doing much better than us.

With lots of money spent on replacements, that clearly havent cut it. There is no need to say any more.
