McCormack-Stead Switch Talks Continue

Town and Cardiff are continuing to talk about a proposed swap deal involving Ross McCormack moving to Portman Road and Jon Stead joining the Bluebirds, according to reports in Wales. News of the Blues interest in the Scot first surfaced earlier in the week.

Speaking after last night’s game with Exeter, boss Roy Keane refused to comment on specific targets. On Monday, Keane said that there could be news on Stead’s future later in the week.

hmm that may push up how much they want for him! reports said he was in ipswich today sorting out his move, so much for that nugget of information! Although the Cardiff posts all assume he is coming here and the sum spoken about wasnt massive...... if its that close though not sure he would be playing tonight???

mcCormack apparently hasnt been to ipswich, its just the two clubs sorting out the swap deal. Tonight bothroyd came off injured for cardiff, so lets hope jones doesnt have second thoughts about selling mcCormack, also considering what he done for them tonight.

Noticed that McCormack was wearing 44 on his back last night, so he wouldn't appear to be in contention for a first team place at Cardiff.

As an aside, has anyone ever seen a player on the pitch with a squad number higher than this?
