Burley: Pablo Staying at Palace
Burley: Pablo Staying at Palace
Thursday, 23rd Dec 2010 09:43

Crystal Palace boss George Burley has dismissed a claim that the Eagles are set to cut short Town striker Pablo Couñago's loan. Reports in London yesterday suggested that the Spanish frontman would be returned to Portman Road halfway through his season-long spell.

Burley confirmed that the 31-year-old will remain at Selhurst Park: "Pablo is with us until the end of the season - full stop.

“There's no possibility of Pablo going back to Ipswich. They might want him back, I don't know, but he's not going back."

Decent striker, never been prolific in front of goal and thats why he can stay there.

the best finisher we have at the club, just because he goes against everything keane wants to do at this club.

Lightningboy, Priskin is the best player we have at the club, much better than Mr Lazy Pablo. You obviously never go to the games if you think he is dreadful, you must just read some of the moaners on here and think they are right.

Always been a big Pablo fan - but him staying at Palace is good news for all concerned. Anyone would think Pablo has been prolific over the past two seasons! He hasn't! We need a striker who scores goals! What, just two last year. A dreadful return. Past his best I'm afraid and that's just been realistic.

Question is...who is the best of all our half decent but not prolific strikers? I would have to say Pablo.

Come on be fair - as is the case now with current striker/s, what service did he get as a striker here.
Yet another player who needs to be played to his strengths, and those who understand the game, will know he has such.
Work rate could be questionable at times - but that could be thro' being p###ed off for various reasons. Again man management comes into a resolution to that - believe me I know.
Far worse players in the Championship than Pablo for sure.

jason0999 - successful strikers feed off service - ask any of them - without it they fail.

i thought wickham was the best striker at the club because keane plays him the least but you say priskin ! now i am really confused......does this mean that because keane manages every game he is our worst choice as manager ? and as day follows night obviously our best fans are the ones that don't go to the games.
