Murphy Out of Plaster
Murphy Out of Plaster
Wednesday, 9th Feb 2011 15:05

Keeper Brian Murphy is out of plaster and could be back to full fitness in around six weeks. The 27-year-old broke his ankle in training two days before Christmas and underwent surgery soon afterwards.

The Irishman, who Paul Jewell was interested in signing from Bohemians when Derby County manager, is set to start a rehabilitation process which is expected to take about six weeks.

If Paul was interested in signing him back then, I'm guessing that should he make a full recovery he could be one to get himself a new contract. Good luck to him as he is a fantastic athlete!

Great news! Personally would prefer him to Fulop!

Hopefully back soon and challenging to play! If nothing else it may encourage Fulop to up his game!

^^^ I think my eyes are deceiving me. Prefer Murphy over fulop? Too small for my liking and awful kicking. Ok shot stopper but not good for much else.

We just about got that Garv. ;-p

IMO Fulop flaps at corners and shots and sometimes makes some really quite bad decisions!

Fulop seems to up for certain games (Arsenal for example) and then not for others (mistakes in the Doncaster game). Either way competition for places can only be a good thing!
