Town are amongst a number of Championship clubs reported to be interested in Sheffield United frontman Daniel Bogdanovic. The Blues, Burnley and Peterborough are said to be chasing the Maltese international, who has a year left on his Blades contract but is understood to be available on a free transfer.

Bogdanovic played for a number of clubs in Malta as well as in Italy, Hungary and Bulgaria before joining Barnsley in January 2009 and scoring in his debut, a 2-1 defeat to Town at Oakwell. In June 2010 the 6ft 1in tall striker moved to Bramall Lane on a Bosman.

Capped 33 times by Malta, having been born in Libya to Serbian parents, Bogdanovic scored five goals in 13 starts 20 sub appearances for the Blades as they were relegated to League One during 2010/11.

Elsewhere, reported Town target David Nugent will make up his mind about his future when he returns from holiday next week with Premier League sides said to be amongst those interested in signing the one-time England international.

QPR and Swansea have reportedly joined the likes of Town and Leicester in the hunt for the out-of-contract former Portsmouth frontman.

PJ wouldnt go near him with due respect to the player. He has stated numerous times that we need improvments to our playing staff. Bogdanovic would be 7th choice striker behind (Wickham, Chops, Scotland, Priskin, Murray & Carson).

No chance.

Not a fan Paul. Too much like Norris, too small.

Bogdonavich - NO

Kilkenny - YES - would be a good signing on a free. Not saying that to start with he would be an automatic first choice selection but we need someone to keep Leadbitter on his toes and step in when he is suspended. Grant needs to step up to the plate this year - significantly underperformed last year and has only one year left on his contract so may only be here one more season, in which case Kilkenny can look to take over the gutsy midfield role.

Have to agree with Garv in relation to Kilkenny. We were "outmuscled" in a lot of games last season and you got the impression at times that it was "men against boys". Kilkenny is a good player- but IMO he is better when he has a number of larger players around him (almost like protection in American Football?). I will be happy if we sign him- but not happy if the intention is then to leave the midfield as it is and hope for the best. We could do with a couple of big lads in the centre-midfield (that Belgium International we have been linked with would be a good start). I know PJ is talking about signing 5 players but I honestly think we need 7 or 8 to seriously be competitive next season.
Lets not waste our money on Bogdanovic. Bring in Ellington and that's enough competition Striker wise. We now need to concentrate on our GK, Defence and Midfield (we have a lack of quality in all departments).
