Town's West Ham Win Performance of the Week
Town's West Ham Win Performance of the Week
Thursday, 2nd Feb 2012 11:02

Town’s 5-1 victory over West Ham has picked up the League Managers Association's F&C Thames River Performance of the Week award. A five-man panel made up of LMA chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, former Blues boss Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry made the decision.

Town manager Paul Jewell will be given an engraved crystal football in a presentation which will be screened on Sky Soccer Saturday this weekend.

Earlier in the season, Town’s extraordinary comeback to win 5-3 at Barnsley also won the LMA’s gong.

Keep collecting the small trophies, lads, and the big ones will eventually come along too.

Performance of the season ( so far ) ! Keep it going and we will flourish in the rest of the season . Who said these players were not good enough ( plenty of negative posters other times ) , they are and only need to be supported to get the belief in their heads ! Good to see their efforts being recognized and rewarded !

Sir Alex? Pull the other one, it's got bells on. I think Harry Hill's got something to do with this.

Thank goodness there isn't a League Managers Association's F&C Thames River Pony and Trap Performance of the Week Award. The Town cabinet would be overflowing.

Best game I've seen at Portman Road all season, the boys were fantastic and everyone put 100% into the game, deserving winners! And West Ham weren't even that bad, we just totally out played them!
Hopefully we will start to see more of the same stuff! COYB!

yes well deserved and lets enjoy a fantastic win and much needed 3 points and wonderful trophy, but lets not forget we have the worst defence in the league we need 3 defenders. i thought we had turned the corner last time we won this prestigious award...was a false dawn.... coyb
