Season Ticket Deadline Today
Season Ticket Deadline Today
Friday, 13th Apr 2012 10:34

Fans wanting to buy their season tickets at the cheaper early bird prices need to do so before today’s midday deadline. In February, the Blues announced that season ticket prices would be frozen.

Chief executive Simon Clegg says the club strictly enforce the cut-off point: "While I know it is human nature to leave things to the last moment, I encourage all Town fans who wish to benefit from the early bird offer to do so before the deadline.

"Over recent years I've heard the most wonderful and elaborate reasons why people haven't been able to make the deadline, including someone's dog eating their application form!

"To be fair to everyone we will only accept those applications made before the deadline so please make every effort to prioritise this."

The Ticket Office is taking applications from personal callers up until midday, while renewal can also be carried out online. Further details on the club site.

I don't think we should be quite so hardline on this. If someone calls in this afternoon or tomorrow posts £500 take their money rather than reject them! A little flexibility is useful when dealing with the disorganised. :-)

Whilst I accept you need to have a deadline and cut-off for renewal at a certain price, I believe the massive price premium which is levied if for whatever reason you renew late or wish to take out a new season ticket after mid April is ridiculous.

I would like Clegg to tell supporters why such a price hike is justified. Personally I believe a premium of say £30 to £50 would be seen as a reasonable increase by most supporters.

BotesdaleBlue- why not look at it the other way round, a significant discount for committing your money early. Given that this could be anything up to five months in advance of the first game of next season, it's not that difficult to justify, is it?

Part of what is wrong with the modern game is that there are far too many season ticket holders at every club. There should be a restriction of, say, 1000 premium seats for season tickets at our club. All other seats sold per match air-line style over the internet : first 5000 at a fiver, next 5000 at a tenner etc. Pay on the gate for £20. No match is worth more than that. And bring back terraces too.

Definitely agree on bringing back terraces and that there is too much emphasis on season ticket holders.
Makes fans who pay for individual games feel like second class citizens and of course because season ticket holders have their seats they know exactly who the second class citizens near them are.

Season ticket sales will be low - for a number of reasons. I suspect if 500 arrive tomorrow, ITFC will snap their hands off! Sadly, the overall performance this season has been poor and this will reflect in sales. PJ has had a season and a half to address key issues, and despite some people on here thinking he has been successful , the general feel is certainly nothing of the sort.

I personally believe that if PJ was sacked next week - season ticket sales will rise dramatically. I am afraid his reliance on loans and older players goes against what most ITFC fans want - PJ has made his bed and ME must now pay the price.

After this year's dreadful performces and the decision to charge 11 year old's £109 I will not be renewing, £109 for an 11 year old to watch what we have produced is far too expensive, £10 for a 10 year old and then a stupid price hike to £109 so thanks, but no thanks, prices much cheaper elsewhere.

Sales will improve once Jewell goes, he would already have gone if Evans did'nt have to pay him off, but there is no money hence he will stay until next year, once he is gone ST sales will rise.

They will only get bums on seats if PJ is sacked he has done no better than RK and does not deserve another season to screw things up further maybe when its only dozzells bobblehat in the ground assuming he even buys a ticket like the rest of us he too will wake up
