Mohsni Out to Prove Himself at Championship Level
Friday, 5th Oct 2012 16:25

New signing Bilel Mohsni says he’ll use his three-month loan spell with the Blues to prove that he’s up to playing in the Championship. The 25-year-old, whose Southend contract is up at the end of the season, hopes to do enough in that time to extend his stay.

Mohsni, who returned to Playford Road for a second trial spell yesterday having been at Town for a week last month, told the club site: “I had a good time here when I first came to the club and wanted to sign.

"But there were problems with Southend at the time and I went back home to my family.

“My agent has kept in touch with the manager here though, and I was very happy when I was told I had the chance to come back.

“I know I have to prove to people that I can play in the Championship and I have three months to do that. It will be a test for me but I’m ready for it.

“Hopefully I can help Ipswich move up the table and give myself a chance to stay here on a longer deal. That is the challenge for me.”

What are the odds of him getting himself sent off on his debut? Sounds like a proper nut job, good luck pal!

He'll either be an absolute disaster or a real crowd favourite and get a good deal.

I like the fact he seems to have a bit of attitude, big and wont be pushed around, and if he can play up front as well he must be able to play a bit.

If the club can sort his temperement out we may have picked a bargain up.

muccletonjoe-not a u turn from the manager- a u turn by the player. According to Southend he didnt sign in the first place as he wanted to go back to France to see if he could get a contract with Rennes.
He will prove his worth if you let him tackle in the penalty area as I have never seen a player lose it so easily and give so many penalties away.
The crowd will love him, but not sure that he will cut it at this level, hence why he isnt in the reckoning for today.
