Drury in for N'Daw at Palace
Tuesday, 6th Nov 2012 19:12

Andy Drury returns to the Town side in place of Guirane N’Daw as new manager Mick McCarthy takes charge of the Blues for the second time at Crystal Palace this evening (KO 8pm). The Senegalese international, who was forced off with cramp late in the 1-0 victory at Birmingham on Saturday, is included amongst the subs.

McCarthy may switch his otherwise unchanged side from Saturday’s 4-4-2 to a 4-5-1 to match Palace’s usual formation. The Eagles have their new boss Ian Holloway in charge for the first time.

Former Blues Damien Delaney and Owen Garvan are in the Palace starting line-up, while keeper Lewis Price and one-time Town academy schoolboy Stuart O'Keefe are on the bench. Full match preview here.

Town: Henderson, Edwards (c), Chambers, Higginbotham, Cresswell, Martin, Reo-Coker, Drury, Wellens, Murphy, Campbell. Subs: Loach, Smith, Mohsni, N'Daw, Emmanuel-Thomas, Scotland, Chopra.

Crystal Palace: Speroni, Ward, Ramage, Delaney, Parr, Dikgacoi, Jedinak (c), Bolasie, Garvan, Zaha, Murray. Subs: Price, Blake, Easter, Moxey, O'Keefe, Appiah, Moritz

No surprise considering N'Daw had problems with cramp after Saturday. Drury is not my favourite player by any means - but what he lacks in ability, he will give 110%!. Good luck lads, but am not expecting much from this one.

we need to impose ourselves and create some chance ,dury cant create tackle or score. He is our stand out weak player tonight ,plenty of running but so does the squits ffs

i tell you what dougie freedman put together one hell of a side for less than 800k. They are a class act for sure. Plus they are really up for this.

FOOTYBLUE ,I am at the match and very much behind the team. Im telling it as it is . We are 2nd best ,and if you were here you would see what i see. That Palace have a better side and that it was put together for 800k ,weve spent millions ,and are no where near as good . However , if we score next its game on. If they do its lights out

Yes it is indeed. Zaha running riot at our fragile defence. I have to say what ever the press write , the gulf is massive , absolutely massive between the two sides. This is not MMs fault but our team is very poor looking.

Charlton were 2.0 down and have scored five on the trot. We have not goals in this side. Thank god we have a manager now who will buy the correct types and build a team. This is an embarressment, and thank god we wont see a number of these again. Ive spent alot of money getting to this game. Gutted. COYB ffs stand up and be counted.

Garvan is taking the piss out of us. Every player clearly under instruction to run at us by holloway. Its terrible to watch how weak we are,the defence has no protection and are so exposed. Im telling you this drury is lost absolutely lost at this level.
