Wordsworth Starts at Brighton
Saturday, 22nd Mar 2014 14:21

Anthony Wordsworth is recalled to the Town starting line-up in place of the injured Cole Skuse as the Blues take on Brighton at the Amex Stadium.

The former Colchester man starts for the first time since the home FA Cup tie against Preston, his only game since then an appearance from the bench against Bolton. Today’s match will be the 25-year-old’s fourth start since joining the Blues in January 2013 and only his fifth appearance of the season.

Town’s starting line-up is otherwise unchanged with Frank Nouble back on the bench after his hamstring injury, while there is no place in the 18 for Paul Taylor. Former Blues loanee Keith Andrews starts for Brighton.

Brighton: Kuszczak, Bruno, Upson, Greer, Ward, Andrews, Ince, Forster-Caskey, Buckley, Lingard, Ulloa. Subs: Calderon, Dunk, Stephens, March, LuaLua, Rodriguez.

Town: Gerken, Chambers (c), Berra, Smith, Cresswell, Wordsworth, Hyam, Anderson, Hunt, Williams, Murphy. Loach, Mings, Green, Tabb, Richardson, Ebanks-Banks, Nouble.

Time for McCarthy to come clean and tell the fans what he has got against Taylor.

Nobody knows the reason for Taylor not being either in the side or on the bench. The only person who knows is MM and why should he justify it.

Maybe there are issues with Taylor. Does he like a drink and it is causing issues with the management. We will never know.

But there is something not right with him. Maybe he missed the bus!!

Micks favourites strike again. Taylor will be gone in summer and predict Mick will bring in another defensive midfielder.

Might as well left Taylor at Peterboro on loan MM ?? At least he would have got more Game Time there than he does here ?????
They also might have paid us some money for him in the summer ( at a reduced rate )

Why is Taylor not even on the Bench ?? - Simple - he's got 'flair' and 'creativity' - two words that scare the life out of MM, and his boring style of play.

Anyone who knows the game (and many don't) knows he should be in the team home and away - we offer little or nothing of a threat without him.
