Town Unchanged Against Rams
Tuesday, 25th Mar 2014 19:09

Town boss Mick McCarthy has named the expected unchanged side for this evening’s home game against Derby County with Anthony Wordsworth again replacing the injured Cole Skuse in the centre of midfield.

McCarthy also names an unchanged bench where there is no place for new loan signing Alex Henshall or striker Paul Taylor.

Derby make one change from the side which started the 5-0 thrashing of Nottingham Forest at the weekend, Johnny Russell replacing the injured Jamie Ward.

Town: Gerken, Chambers, Berra, Smith, Cresswell, Anderson, Hyam, Wordsworth, Hunt, Williams, Murphy. Subs: Loach, Mings, Richardson, Tabb, Green, Ebanks-Blake, Nouble.

Derby: Grant, Wisdom, Keogh, Buxton, Forsyth, Thorne, Bryson, Hendrick, Russell, Bamford, Martin. Subs: Legzdins, O'Brien, Whitbread, Bailey, Naylor, Sammon, Thomas.

No Taylor again!
Appalling decision from our dinosaur hoofball chump of a manager. So glad I am not at the game tonight.
Time for someone new to manage our once proud club.

Can Wordworth replace him again? He replaced him on Saturday and today has kept his place. He hasn't replaced him again.

ah the Mick Fanclub in force to vote me down - how dare someone criticise their idol?
Sorry - but when the football on display has zero entertainment value and our must creative and talented player is left out of the side without complaint from the so called fans, then I fear most peoples standards have dropped to an all time low.

Henshaw may not be match fit, Taylor we may never know the full story but would like to see us go for the games throat from the off as Derby will hurt us very badly if we sit deep.COYB

itfcrealist i kind of sympathise with taylor and your views, I work up in lancashire and work with Burnley fans, THEY decribe MM football as dour and his as a dinosour! its hard to disagree when the dingles are flying!

We have seen what managers who play skillful individuals without any team tactics were able to achieve with Town. It's about time a manager with tactical nous who has taken the club in the right direction was trusted to make the right decisions. It is clear he would like to play with skill down the flanks but it is far more about end product than just skill.

ITFCRealist - this is becoming a bit of a theme now...I don't mean to sound rude, but you are, without doubt, the biggest idiot I have ever witnessed on this website. The things you say are frankly ridiculous. Your knowledge of football is obviously so minimal, your opinions on our great club are deluded.
I never thought I'd talk to a 'fan' that would rather see us play attractive football and lose, than be hard to beat, play ugly and win.
Paul Taylor is clearly not as good as people think, otherwise he'd be the first name on the team sheet. Just accept we are a better all round team without him. MM is the best manager we have had in a long time! And we are in a better position than we have been for a very long time! These are things you would understand if you had any football know-how whatsoever.

How about now we stop criticising MM and be grateful we have an outside chance of promotion. Let's support our boys, not critise.
