Season Ticket Sales Up
Monday, 23rd Jun 2014 17:35

Town’s season ticket sales for 2014/15 are currently around 200 up on last year's total and are approaching the 12,000 mark.

The Blues increased prices slightly on last season with an adult seat in the lower tier of any stand purchased before the early bird deadline costing £399 compared with £390 in 2013/14.

The club will announce matchday prices for the season ahead in the next couple of weeks and will continue with the policy of grading games at different rates as well as holding regular promotions.

Meanwhile, Town have announced ticketing details for a number of this summer's pre-season friendlies, including the home game against West Ham and the Leyton Orient away match the week before the Championship campaign begins.

Elsewhere, ex-Blues keeper Neil Alexander, 36, has joined Hearts back in his native Scotland as a player-coach having left Crystal Palace at the end of the season, while former Town midfielder Conor Hourihane, 23, has moved to Barnsley from Plymouth Argyle for an undisclosed fee, signing a three-year deal.

Not bad, considering all I see on here is complaints about 'bloody hoof ball'

Marcus Evans is very lucky that we have such loyal supporters. Without him giving much backing to MM in the transfer market or showing little ambition to do so, it would be easy to lose faith and not renew. Hats off to you all!

The key to improved attendances next season will be a more entertaining and hopefully successfull brand of football and realistic match day ticket prices, to appeal to the casual fan.£ 39.50 for a championship game, all be it a tier A game is disgraceful. You could go and watch premiership football for that. We are the longest serving team in the championship and are strictly adhering to FFP, where others aren't, in my opinion stanf
ding still when others around us are moving forward. 1 way of getting extra income is getting more bums on seats. Hope the club take that into account, when thinking about match day ticket prices

Season tickets remain very cheap, after 5 years of freezes out of 7 or whatever it is. if you live near enough to Ipswich to go the mid week games that is.

And at least we are not obliged to buy the cup tickets as are eg Man Utd

It is brilliant to read that season ticket sales are up after years of decline. Please ITFC implement sensible match ticket pricing too, as then we could see increases in the sale of those too. Start adult prices not too far north of £20, scrap the banding policy, scrap the on the day extra charge, accept credit cards right up to ticket off, and see the ground start to fill...

Agree that Season Tickets are great value (if of course you can afford the commitment). Mine in SBR lower (at concession for being 60, which I am just) costs me less than £6.00 per week paying by monthly Direct Debit. This gets me 23 games - superb, can't wait for 9/8.

Good to see the ongoing decline in season ticket sales has finally stopped.

Its going to take a long time to bring back those who have given up on us though!

Good news. But with July fast approaching and te new season weeks away, the club need to reward the fans by as. Minimum replacing the four permanent stayers who ave left he club, with more permanent players. Not just loans.

Stop the stupid matchday ticket price grading policy! I pay to watch Town, not the opposition.

Season Ticket sales up??? I find it difficult to believe that last seasons average performances over and the knowledge that we won't be pumping any cash in for players has inspired a greater number of people to attend matches................perhaps ME has bought a load in a new FFP avoidance scheme?

How many season tickets did we sell last season in total ? And how is our rise compared to other championship clubs this season ? That is the true reflection of how well our sales are going
