Town Announce Norwich Play-Off Ticketing
Saturday, 2nd May 2015 17:06

Town have announced ticketing details for the two-legged Championship play-off semi-final against Norwich City. The Blues host the Canaries in the first leg next Saturday (KO 12.15pm) with the away game at Carrow Road the following Saturday (KO 12.15pm).

The home leg, which is not included with season tickets, is priced at Grade A and will be available online from ITFC Direct or at Planet Blue.

Tickets for the home semi-final will go on sale to Platinum and Gold Card holders from Sunday 3rd May at 8am, to season ticket holders from Monday 4th May at 8am, Silver Card holders from Tuesday 5th May at 8am and then go on general sale from Wednesday 6th May, 8am.

Season ticket holders’ seats will be reserved until Wednesday 6th May with any unsold seats released for general sale at 8am on Wednesday 6th May.

Platinum members, Gold members, Silver members and season ticket holders will be able to buy their own seat plus one additional ticket per customer number. Supporters purchasing once seats are on general sale may buy up to four tickets per customer number. All fans will receive a paper ticket for the home semi-final.

Fans on the pre-payment cup scheme will have their ticket automatically processed on this evening.

For the second leg, tickets will be sold one per customer number and only online. The club will use the priority customer number entitlement based on the advance purchase of away tickets throughout the season, as previously used for earlier game at Norwich.

Supporters receiving this priority entitlement will receive a letter outlining how to purchase their ticket early next week. Platinum members will have their tickets processed in the usual way.

After that Gold Card holders can purchase their tickets from Saturday 9th May at 8am, season ticket holders from Sunday 10th May at 8am and Silver Card holders from Monday 11th May at 8am, before any remaining will go on general sale on Tuesday 12th May at 8am.

Town have been allocated 2,042 tickets at £25 for adults, £15 for senior citizens (65+),£10 for under-17s and £5 for under-12s. For full details of ticketing for both legs including coach travel, visit the club site.

I was going to ask what anyone thought the chances of there being tickets for general sale on Wednesday would be, but judging by the comments on here, no one's going to go to the biggest game for 10 years for the sake of a tenner!

My son and I are desperate to go and will be coming down from Penrith so hope there are some available.

A lot of people forgetting that this isn't just any old match. This is our cup final. Of course we would all like to get in for free, but unfortunately we are £90m in debt!

If we make the play off final, some fans will pay for 4 games this month alone plus pay for the first month of next years season ticket (if paid monthly). Why should season ticket holders who watch the club home and away be priced out of first play off game in ten years!

Some people spend a lot of their money to watch us ALL season and just because they can't afford two/three more games they could potentially miss a monumental experience!

I don't know how many people who support the pricing are season ticket holders or follow the club away from home, but I'd be surprised if they do. I'd happily admit im wrong if a one comes along and says they support the pricing and have been to 70% + games this season

Imo the club should have had prices lowered across the board for all, not just season ticket holders. I'm just putting the point across that its the season ticket holders who are being hit hardest here.

Usual negativity from certain quarters. That will be why the atmosphere away from home is usually better(Charlton,Brentford,Watford,Fulham etc) because of loyal fans who don't find any excuse to moan. Its true in life with choices so if you don't want to go just watch on Sky and let's fill Portman Road with positivity like we did in the last play off semi final!!

If that was aimed at me SB, I was at all 4 of those games you mention...

Don't get me wrong I'm f*cking delighted to be in the play offs!

Tractor boy I am not aiming comments at anyone. All I think is that MM/TC/Squad have worked wonders this year so at the moment the whole fan base should be united and get over the line to the Promised Land.Yes it's difficult regarding ticketing but that's a sacrifice I believe which comes from supporting your local team. The 4 matches I mentioned were home games for me geographically as opposed to round trip of 250 miles for Portman Road.Perhaps we could all unite for the next 2/3 games for the benefit of the players then find a separate forum to discuss issues/complaints re ticketing.Keep the Faith.

So we must congratulate nodge on their sensible ticket prices? Have the standard match day prices at carrot road this season been sensible? Do they have enormous amounts of parachute money coming their way?...hmmm

We've just got in the playoffs for the 1st time in 10 years, STOP MOANING if you don't want to go, DON'T, some people on here would moan if we got to the champions league final and had to pay an extra £10...

If you are one of the moaners I've got a good idea, stay at home and watch it on sky!!!

Can't see how we are paying half what scum will be paying. My seat for grade A game will cost me, a Town fan £32. Scum fans will pay grade A prices for upper tier Cobbold or I'd they bring forward a kid in family Area the kid is paying £10 with an adult on normal adult prices.

let's not forget scum have parachute money for four years IRO £400 so can afford to drop prices to £25 for one bloody game.

let's see how you fanny complain when you start paying PL prices and somebody you have short memories when you conveniently forget scum ripped us off to the tune of £40 !!

Flucking predicted text. Try £40 .

as the previous poster said if but don't like the cost . Don't go to the game. If you think it's expensive I can't wait for the moaning about PL prices!

To all the people moaning there is no reduction for season ticket holders, the club can't do that, it's in the football league playoff rules that we can't. Interestingly there wasn't much point in making it grade A as we don't keep our own revenue, it gets added up and split between the four teams. My son was 15 when the season started in August 2014, so qualified for an Under-16 season ticket. He turned 16 mid-way through the season. So for next season he'll be needing an Under-20 season ticket, no he's 16. However, buying my season ticket seasons for the Norwich game, would I buy an U16 ticket (as per the existing season ticket - this is an extension of the current season), or an U20 ticket as this is a one-off and he is 16 now?

(I meant season ticket seats for the Norwich game)

Got the answer : U20, so an extra £11.50 for him. Got my tickets anyway! Happy man!

Does anyone know how sales are going and what the chances of some being available on Wednesday will be? I suppose I could always become a Silver Member and jump the queue?!

Gilesy added 10:09 - May 4
No - Silver Membership only available now for next season. Seems fair enough!

I've booked my two tickets for myself and my eldest son, but we have just turned cartwheels at the relief and news that my middle son is home from Nepal!!! Anyone not using their second entitled ticket so i can get him to the game? Would be a wonderful homecoming present for him. And if anyone would like to donate to the site we have set up to help the sherpa that saved him then we'd be most grateful. Thanks. http://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/nepal-earthquakefund-fikuri/?

I appreciate the cost of the tickets will affect some peoples budget for the month but realistically we have known for months that we may have the cost of play off tickets, and hopefully Wembley, to pay for! So plenty of time to save / plan for those that need to! And let's not forget that with FFP the chance for the club to earn money from play off games WILL affect how much Mick has to spend on wages next year - this is massively important if we were to remain in the Championship. Think about the bigger picture, stop moaning and get behind your team! COYB (why do I get the impression that it is the younger fans that are always moaning at anything and everything? Anything to do with the fact that growing up watching CL and Prem on TV means they may think there is a quick fix to success if you have a wealthy owner?) COYB

The point has already been made concerning the aspect of people turning up and pretending that they have been loyal to the club for the last x amount of years. I think that this is a little ignorant. I am only saying this as this whole year, i have been training in London every tuesday and thursday nights from August, i have been training or playing saturday and also sunday. The only way i can follow ipswich is on my phone and because of the level i play means i can't say "sorry i just want to go to the football". This means that i have only been to around 5 home games all season which is incredibly frustrating for me. But, i want to point this out, because of the opportunity of being able to attend these 5 games, i have paid full price as an adult, despite being a gap year student with limited funds. I do not ask my parents to pay for me, i pay the £20, £30 whatever it might be because i want to watch ipswich. It's actually a little disappointing that people still call people like me 'glory hunters', i find it astonishing because, what is the problem with someone like me turning up? Season ticket holders get the opportunity to purchase before me, and I won't be able to go the away game because of how it is structured (or incredibly unlikely) because of people that have forked out money week in week out (respect). It is no different to a normal game in the sense that, season ticket holders will get their seats if they want and the remaining seats will be filled with people who want to be there on the big occasion?

The second point i want to get onto is that Norwich had parachute payments meaning that extra funds are not to hard to come by. When we played Southampton the price was lowered considerably which people have tended to forget quite quickly. This is an opportunity for the club to make as much money as possible. And if you really support the club, why not pay that extra bit? it goes into the club at the end of the day. And I'm sure it will be put to use in the club and not in the back pocket of Mr Evans in developing the infrastructure like the toilets etc.

Anybody had any joy purchasing their tickets online? I'm a season ticket holder and have been in a queue for 2 and a half hours now trying to get my seat. Pretty sure the club advised to buy online as it was simpler! This is a joke! Sort it out ITFC!!

Same problem here Jim... very long wait (which is fine) but the system then times out and I have to start again.

No luck so far...
