Blackburn Confirm Feeney Signing
Saturday, 25th Jun 2016 10:38

Blackburn Rovers have confirmed the signing of former Town loanee Liam Feeney. The 29-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with an option for a third season following his release by Bolton.

As TWTD previously reported, Feeney had agreed a permanent deal with the Blues but was subsequently offered very significantly better terms by Rovers, where he was previously on loan in 2014.

Feeney joined Town on loan in March and made seven starts and two sub appearances, scoring once.

Remember he was at Bolton. It may actually be as simple as the fact he lives in Lancashire somewhere and doesnt want to uproot...

Whether you rate the player or not is irrelevant. Mick clearly wanted him. He would obviously be better than we currently have.
Worrying this club (well owner) still hasn't learnt his lesson on how to get a club promoted. I read John Cobbold''s book recently. The way the club his family built has been left to rot like this is a sickener. The faceless one couldn't give 2 shts whether we are 7th or 17th. Another drab season. Sorry but we as fans deserve more.

Fine if we get a decent replacement. Situation with wide players is farcical.

Rated highly by most a short while back - amazingly lost it all now because he didn't sign for us.

Quite unreal as to how quickly you can become manure, in the eyes of certain people.

Nothing changes at ITFC - full stop.

If I remember correctly their former owner Jack Walker left them an annual payment in his will. I have no idea on how such income fits in with any fair play rules or whether it is enough to account for their spending.
