McCarthy and Connor Watching Arsenal U23s
Friday, 12th Aug 2016 20:42

Town boss Mick McCarthy and his assistant Terry Connor have been spotted watching Arsenal’s U23s playing their Reading counterparts at Borehamwood this evening.

Former Blues loanee Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who McCarthy has previously not ruled out returning to Portman Road, is in the Gunners’ line-up.

Earlier today, McCarthy confirmed he is looking for further additions to his squad before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

Double swoop for AMN and Zelalem? Clearly gonna be AMN and welcome he would be IMO, young versatile and with a good idea of what he needs to do here to kick on.

Likely to be Julian Gray, getting a run out for the Reading U23.

Why would it be AMN? Surely mm saw enough last year to know what he can and cant do

On a serious note Gabriel Osho might well be the target, natural right back- can also play centre back and unlikely to get game time this season.

If it was AMN, i hope it would be a permanent as he knows he is our player. Wardy has showed that being contracted to us is a big thing. Chris Willock has been preeicted big things too, so wouldn't mind him!

I was born in borehamwood and moved to Ipswich when I was 18. By the time I moved to nz leaving my beloved itfc was the hardest of all. I still have a season ticket even after 6 years here.

Just approaching Putney on the way back to the North East. It's hard to find a single positive from that performance. And much as I hate the McCarthy tactic, note not tactics as there is only one. The problem is with the ownership. An owner who has the club for tex reasons and has not one ounce of football in him, except how to fleece people for tickets. MM is just what he needs, stoical and I ambitious, stubborn and well known. We are tactically inept, but each other team has strengthened, who do we turn to? Douglass from the bench. I wish I knew where to start with what is wrong at the club.
