Town boss Mick McCarthy and his assistant Terry Connor have been spotted watching Arsenal’s U23s playing their Reading counterparts at Borehamwood this evening.

Former Blues loanee Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who McCarthy has previously not ruled out returning to Portman Road, is in the Gunners’ line-up.

Earlier today, McCarthy confirmed he is looking for further additions to his squad before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

And much as I hate the McCarthy tactic, note not tactics as there is only one. The problem is with the ownership. An owner who has the club for tex reasons and has not one ounce of football in him, except how to fleece people for tickets. MM is just what he needs, stoical and I ambitious, stubborn and well known. We are tactically inept, but each other team has strengthened, who do we turn to? Douglass from the bench. I wish I knew where to start with what is wrong at the club.
