| News Comment | Maitland-Niles: Stick Together, Work Hard and Win Will Come at 12:58:38
I think we've been severely effected this year by the lack of any FUN in the camp. Having someone like Stephen Hunt around does wonders for team moral and it seems just at the moment we are desperately lacking in not only this, but ALL areas!! |
| News Comment | Skuse Targeting Top Two at 10:02:50
Also, just heard that Roy Keane has quit Villa, flippin' useless pr*ck! Didn't take them long to work him out then.... |
| News Comment | Skuse Targeting Top Two at 10:01:08
"Steve Claridge might have mentioned us on The Football League Show. He might even have spoken about us for two or three seconds, so it must mean we're doing something right." - Brilliant and absolutely true by the way!! Blue Arrrrrmy!!!! |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Taylor Never Showed Enough at Town at 10:45:42
@ Popeye - Cast your mind back to Martijn Reuser, arguably one of the most 'flair' players we have had at this club over the past 15 years, he did alright for himself. Jimmy Bullard's influence kept us in the league and earned him payer of the year despite only playing half the season! I'm not saying Taylor is in their league but I'm sure the likes of Messi, Hazard, C Ronaldo, etc. have frustrated their respective managers at times. The point being, THEY ARE ALL MATCH WINNERS, apart from David McGoldrick, where are our match winners? |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Taylor Never Showed Enough at Town at 10:40:28
Judging by Mick's comments he's having to eat a sizable portion of humble pie. Nice little dig in the ribs from Steve Evans too! There is probably nothing exciting in Mick's mediocre world, he comes home from a boring day's training session, practicing corners and freekicks, to his magnolia covered walls. Kisses his average looking wife, cracks open a can of John Smiths and settles into his beige DFS sofa just in time for Coronation Street. |
| News Comment | McCarthy Wants More Goals From Berra at 13:15:18
Just wanted to put into context where the goals have come from over recent seasons: Cole Skuse - 46 apps 0 goals - 0% goal to game ratio Luke Hyam - 86 apps 2 goals - 2% g2g Paul Anderson - 33 apps 5 goals - 15% g2g Stephen Hunt - 23 apps 0 goals - 0% Jay Tabb - 39 apps 2 goals - 5% g2g Anthony Wordsworth - 18 apps 2 goals - 11% g2g Paul Taylor - 16 apps 1 goal - 6% g2g Frank Nouble - 55 apps 4 goals - 7% g2g Daryl Murphy - 138 apps 31 goals - 22% g2g David McGoldrick - 47 apps 19 goals 40% g2g Luke Chambers - 94 apps 6 goals - 6% g2g Christophe Berra - 45 apps 7 goals - 16% g2g Tommy Smith - 150 apps 15 goals - 10% g2g Aaron Cresswell - 132 apps 6 goals - 5% g2g I think this goes to prove that the defence and forward are chipping in with their share of goals, whereas the midfield 'could do better!' |
| News Comment | Town Made Eagles Approach at 12:54:43
I hardly ever comment but had to...... @ howdonblue - it's Prima Donna!! Always thought Chris Eagles was a silky footballer, might not have the onions for it though! |
| News Comment | McCarthy Linked With Palace at 13:02:48
I hope he does go after witnessing that shower of ...... on Friday night. We might as well be playing netball for all the time we had it on the green stuff. Eagles!!! Eagles!!! Eagles!!! |
| Blog Comment | Is This Mick McCarthy's Fond Farewell? at 07:03:38
This is an absolutely ridiculous blog with no substance whatsoever. Agree with most of the posters here, there's 3 minutes of my life i'll never get back! If you can't say anything positive then don't say anything at all! |
| News Comment | Blackburn Set to Recall Orr at 11:51:46
Whilst being a solid defender he's lacking pace and got absolutely crucified against Bristol City at home. Move Chambo out to RB, onwards and upwards! |
| News Comment | Campbell Set to Leave QPR at 08:55:25
I also think that Chopra and Murhpy are out of the door at the end of the season. Chopra - troubles with bet fixing - season to forget Murphy - season loan from Celtic, what happens after that? McGoldrick - Signing July 1st McLean - Loan Scotland - on his way Nouble - Signed Murray - loan (will he make the 1st team?) JET - wrong attitude - possibly gone in the summer too, and now not a striker in MM's plans That only leaves us with 2/3 recognised signed strikers, so who honestly thinks that's enough for challenging for promotion next year, and that we don't need DJ? The negative posters on here get on my thrupennies sometimes! SIGN HIM UP NOW!!!!! |
| News Comment | Campbell Set to Leave QPR at 08:46:34
If he joins Crystal Palace and they get promoted, chances are he'll be in the same situation as he is now at QPR. You know you love us DJ, PLEASE SIGN, PLEEEEEASE!! HE SCORE WHEN HE WANTS!! |
| News Comment | Nouble: Feels Right Working for McCarthy at Town at 06:35:38
Great attitude! Good luck and all the best. Not the first time I've heard him mention being in a 'happy place' and 'people around to encourage me', can't help feeling he's a little fragile. But, here's hoping he's a great success, can't be any worse than JET!! |
| News Comment | New Signings Should Spark JET at 06:19:37
On your bike son. The frustrating thing is that "JET" offers so much skill, excitement and potential but will we ever see it? Mick really can't make his intentions any clearer and if "JET" still doesn't pull his finger out he's likely to be gone come the summer... |
