Wow everyone entitled to an opinion but that boy is going to get better and better. Would love him back. Another year with McKenna and I think he can develop into the real deal. What I love about him is his quality on the ball which is complimented by him being an absolute warrior off it. Rare.
Think he has to develop his understanding of the game and the patterns and structure McKenna will want. He's like a quality street footballer who is getting better and better in real football.
One or two max. Reason being I think we have quite an experienced squad to be honest. A couple of experienced prem players would help but we really need to be careful with our spend And not spending money that doesn't hold or increase its value. Fine balance to get right.id second Adam Webster though.
I can't understand how it doesn't make a difference for FFP? I.e. if you are selling Lukaku whilst it's not a profit it still surely reduces the original outlay off the books for FFP. (Obviously factoring in how the deal is structured and amortization. But they can probably work it so it's booked off immediately).
You can't start a post "no disrespect" and expect that to ok you being completely disrespectful. Of all the things you could use to illustrate a point this is really not ok. Remove or change your example. Let's not dig out someone who gave their all for the club and never let us down particularly.
Pretty much summed up my feelings at the Cov game and then watching the game on TV Sat. Maybe when we missed a few big chances against Huddersfield a few worried thoughts but felt confident it was coming and come it did!!
Just going to to try and enjoy next season whatever comes. I hope if things don't go completely as we hope next year we don't let it diminish what the staff and players have done.
We'll spend between £45-60 million I reckon. Feels really strange to write that given where we have been and how that to us seems staggering money. It is staggering money...but not for the prem. It's small money for the prem.
We'll be careful with our spend in that it will be aimed mostly at players that can increase in value and are young enough not to have huge huge wages.
Going to be really interesting. If we could even persuade Chelsea to sell it would be £15-20 million minimum for Hutchinson I would think.
Behave. 2-3 signings!? The sentiment of giving a lot of the squad an opportunity is good and the bulk will get a chance but we'll need a minimum of 6-7 incomings. If I was a betting man 8 first team signings.
There is a group of players who need to play football and it's no good for their careers to be sat on bench or not making squads. They will go with the heads held high and as absolute heroes and to great moves.
Likes of Harness, Jackson, Ball, one of the keepers. Aluko gone. Williams was in the 25. That's 6 to replace. I hope Edmundson stays as he can still get better at his age but might decide to go. Then all the loans who we either re-sign or need to replace.
As sacking go that is right up there with one of the worst I can remember. Been doing a brilliant job. You could see the progress and then getting better and better. They were on to go up next year under him
Really poor output numbers. He's strong and physically has good attributes. But he doesn't score goals or make many does he? We've already got better.
We'll be looking and better profiles than him. Would have been a good signing 2 years ago in League 1. Not saying he's L1, more that he would have been good then and someone that can progress up with us.
Be absolutely perfect but I think they will want best part of £20 million. Robins saying they won't sell any of their big players for less than a club record.
I don't know why but a goal I go back to again and again which I think was absolutely huge was Morsy vs Watford. Felt like a goal and a win that really said we can actually do something this season. Summed up everything about the team and Morsy and seemed to really start our belief that we can go again late goals.
Yes and argument but in my opinion I would fall on the side of no to signing him.
At 29 and having to pay an extreme premium for him at this point I don't think he makes sense as the best option. His value will fall due to age and it's unlikely he will have another season like it to be honest. It was his Daryll Murphy season. Both good players. If he was 24 and £10 million you would look at him. 29 and probably north of £15. No.
Did not see all of that match (only from.their comeback) but don't recall seeing him run his socks off from when I was watching. He's not a run your socks of type player at all. Wright does the running for them.
Absolute mixed bag. Fast as they come but reluctant to beat players weirdly. Absolutely zero trickery. Frustrating player but some good ingredients for sure.
Heard this said a few times but where does it come from?
What an incredible season he's had. He's always scored goals and could definitely do worse. Was really keen on him a few years back. Can he be that player in the prem. And is buying him at the peak of his premium when he's never played in the league the right call?
Personally I think we should be signing too younger talent and where it's experience they should have played the level and proven themselves.
