| News Comment | McCarthy: McKenna's Doing a Remarkable Job at 17:55:11
You could tell he's from Yorkshire..... you couldn't tell him anything thing else!!! He told the fans to f off so 6500 season ticket holders did exactly that. Not one of our current squad would have come anywhere near Ipswich if they had to play under him. |

OwainG, you don't need to imagine, you just have to look back at the "On this day" pages and you will find that we never sign any "reported " players of interest. |
| News Comment | Blues Offer Dozzell New Deal With Canaries Among Premier League Clubs Showing Interest at 22:31:47
I really like the photo used, which shows Andre at an intensive whistling training session whilst in Germany. I'm led to believe his chosen tune was "I was Kaiser Bill's Batman". His team mates have even added the following lyrics to to the tune... Andre Dozzell Andre Dozzell A key midfielder at Ipswich. Surely that proves he is staying. |
| News Comment | Town Confirm Norwood Signing at 22:52:58
I understand that Matt Gill may have had a hand in taking him on at Exeter after seeing him in a schools game playing for St. Bedes (fancy £30k a year public school). Gill was also involved with Tranmere when he was signed there. Hopefully they have a good relationship and we will see him develop further. |
| News Comment | Adeyemi Returns as U23s Host Forest at 16:05:11
Adeyemi was described by Birmingham manager Lee Clark as a "powerful and talented midfielder". Rösler assessed him as composed. Solskjær expected him to be "a top, top player" for Cardiff, as "a box to box midfielder [who] can attack and defend. He wins the ball really well for us, switches the play and scores goals as well". Footballing Giant Paul Hurst thought he had a low pain threshold. Who would you trust? |
| News Comment | Skuse: Relegation Wage Cut Only Right at 16:08:17
"certain leggings that you have to wear." The players can always supplement their earnings buy appearing in pantomime at Christmas... Skuse and Chambers in tights as the ugly sisters. You shall go for the ball, no you shall go to for the ball, oh sh!t it's behind you. |

Burnley site showing that we won 2-0, anyone know scorers? |
| News Comment | Marcus Evans: Club is Not For Sale at 15:44:17
This is a genuine question to those who continually post anti Evans jibes, what exactly do you wish him to do? As far as I know he is one of the most successful business men in country he is self made and generally appears to get the most success out of the business he runs. He has clearly stated he is here to stay. So what am I being taken in by? |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 2-0 Reading - Match Report at 18:10:50
Cat, I don't think there is much "Stand and deliver" attitude in the current side, perhaps you were thinking of another catchphrase from a famous Dick..... Ooooh you are awful, but I like you!! |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Moore Should Aim to Emulate Kightly and Mings at 19:06:14
Anyone else see the similarities between our new signing and one of our money spinning youth products, in age, size and dare I say abilities (I have to say from the TUFC video posted I'd say KM may be better in the air) Just saying. |
| News Comment | McDonnell, Crowe, Morris and Malarczyk in U23s Squad Facing Blades at 17:15:33
Blunts 2-1 Town report from official site. 16:30 15th August 2016 United's U23s kicked off their Professional Development League Two campaign with a victory over Championship opposition at the SteelPhalt Academy on Monday afternoon. A penalty from skipper Ben Whiteman put the Blades in front in the first-half at Shirecliffe, only for the Tractor Boys to level early in the second period, before Louis Reed won it with a fine strike following a quickly taken free-kick. The victory comes 48 hours after the U18s won at Coventry City, to complete an excellent start for United's development age group and Academy Manager Travis Binnion was delighted with the application of both teams in the respective successes. Focusing on the win over Ipswich, Binnion commented: "For long periods we were the better and looked in control. "We could have been two or three goals up at the break, but having conceded and been a bit flat at the beginning of the second-half the lads responded positively to run out worthy winners in the end." He added: "It is a very encouraging start for both groups; the final scores would suggest the games have been tight, when they have probably been a lot more comfortable then they look. "So killing games off is something we need to work on, but that will come the more we play and the more we are able to work with the players on the training ground." Having already had a couple of opportunities, the home side took the lead in the 17th minute with WHITEMAN firing home from the penalty spot after Wright was fouled in the box by Malarczyk. Despite having controlled proceedings throughout the first period, United were slow out of the blocks after the break and Town deservedly equalised just before the hour to leave the game in the balance. But the response to that concession was excellent and with less than 20 minutes some quick thinking from a set-piece won the game for the hosts, with REED firing home confidently from 20 yards out giving Crowe in the Town goal no chance. The latter stages weren't pretty but the Blades dug in and hung for the win. Read more at http://www.sufc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/sheffield-united-u23s-3250416.aspx#kx |
| News Comment | Former Town Striker O'Rourke Dies at 20:28:36
So sorry to hear of his passing. I never saw him play as he was slightly before my time, so my memory of him would have been from staring at the town page in my brothers Soccer Stars sticker book. Is there any chance that someone out there can post a picture of him on hear for me ( if it doesn't infringe copyright, obviously)? |
| News Comment | Malarczyk Joins Southend on Loan at 18:22:22
I feel it is telling that he has been with us for nearly a season and the esteemed organisation that is TWTD does not have a photo of him in action to illustrate this story. Anyhow pleased he will get some game time and as the photo shows we have Digby standing by. |
