McCarthy: Bish Has to Get Back to 2014/15 Form

It's fairly obvious Mick has come out with this today because people are starting to ask why Teddy Bishop is being left out of the team. I saw Teddy play in the under 23's 8-0 defeat of Watford a week last Monday. He played the full 90 minutes, and looked fit enough to me. I thought he was outstanding, both going forward and defensively, and he worked hard throughout. He was a joy to watch. He was badly fouled so many times that, at 80 minutes, I couldn't understand why he wasn't taken off, as he was at serious risk of being injured again. It's always going to be challenging coming back from a string of injuries - harder still if your manager seems to want make some sort of example out of you, or to take you down a peg or two, which is how this statement from Mick comes across. Some players might respond well to this sort of hard man tactic, but not many.
