I'm going to save my excitment on this one for when/if it gets further down the line and we have a big accepted etc., but as a prospect and a target I agree it is much more promising that we're going after these sorts of players!! I'm very pleased with all three of the targets we're going after, lets just hope we can get them in! Jason Pearce is a captain in waiting as well IMO... |

you should sign andrews in jan and give it to him permanently, he's got the potential to be the best captain we've had since matty - grit, determination and a true desire to win. He's the natural leader in our team and I believe he'll get the players to rally around after christmas and turn this awful run around and get us up the right end of the table! Despite leadbitters slight upturn in form recently, he has never been and never will be a captain, he should have never been given the armband in the first place in my opinion! |

excellent addition to the squad, adds vital versatility up top, and despite everyone saying he's gonna play up top with chops, i can see him occupying the left wing role at least for the next few games while martin's out, keep carson on the right and keep JET up top, cos i think we will all agree JET is 10 times the player in the middle than he is out wide!! once martin's back from suspension (and back in favour with Jewell!) i think we're gonna have some serious competition for places up top, which can only bode well for the team and for results!! COYB! |

wow, what an evening!!! if (fingers VERY tightly crossed) these signings are all finalised tomorrow morning, then we have taken massive strides towards fixing our squad!! It goes without saying that Bullard is going to be loved by everyone, and will add much needed class and creativity to a currently stagnant midfield, and murphy, a proven goalscorer when with us before, offers us more attacking options, much needed when martin is going to be out for 3games (or longer is jewell really is as pissed off with him as he says he is!?), and then sonko giving us some much MUCH needed cover at the back! life is good again!!!! COYB!! |

this should be said behind closed doors, not broadcast to the world. I wholeheartedly back jewell and believe he is the man to eventually get us to the prem, but he's starting to show his frustration now in the wrong way, think this rant is a little unprofessional in all honesty. Get the players together PJ, calm everything down, get back to basics and above all install some confidence in a squad seriously lacking in it.... once you do that, we might stand a chance of climbing up the league. |

we all know he has a very positive influence on the dressing room; if we're struggling for moral and confidence at home, stick the captains armband on that man and I guarantee we'll be winning in no time!! However I still can't see us being able to get him, especially as QPR are still very interested and are in the prem, would be an absolute dream to have him back but I'm not massively hopeful... |
