U23 vs Watford…..
at 11:24 21 Feb 2022

The kids are off school today due to the holidays and I noticed that the U23 should be playing today against Watford. Are we able to go and watch these games? Presumably up at the training ground?

2 of the 3 of us have season tickets of that influences being allowed in etc?

Thanks

I have probably missed it somewhere - but was it confirmed when the vouchers from last season would be posted out if you weren’t able to get to planet blue on the days that were previously mentioned for collecting?

So, the boys are back for pre-season training today...
at 10:26 24 Jun 2019

Not def info, but I had it mentioned to me yesterday that Washington was going to be training with the squad - not sure if signed or on trial - But this is what I was told....

I don't know a huge amount about him, but as we have dropped down a league I guess that would be a good coup for us?

Fair play to him, a big move from Leiston.

I played with him for a short period and against him quite a few times in his playing days - good striker by all accounts!

You'd leave Chalobah out? I thought he was the only one that ever gave us any real momentum going forwards? Looked at all like breaking the lines.... Very far from perfect but for a 19 year old that hasn't played mens football before this season I think he is the only one giving us any real tempo!

Ben Brereton off to Blackburn Rovers it seems......
at 09:27 28 Aug 2018

what concerns me is that we sold a striker that had scored or been involved in almost 30 goals last season for £5m where Forest are selling a striker that has only ever scored 8 goals for £7m.....

Garner linked to Bolton 500k
at 20:26 30 Jun 2018

What annoys me about this is the fee.....

I don't necessarily want garner to leave as I think he adds something to the team.

But the fee - we signed him for 750k and we're looking at getting back less for a player that had a decent season when fit, and also that Bolton sold Gary Madine for 6m plus - if that was us with money in the coffers we'd be charged a site more for anyone we tried to buy - yet we let a first team player or squad member go for 500k potentially?

Isit only me that see's this with our transfers?

Luke Hyam still a professional footballer....
at 08:50 14 Mar 2018

I guess it does - me expecting a professional footballer in the second tier of English football to be able to play a ten yard pass or control a volley back to a thrower is a little unfair?

I don't remember him winning particularly any aerial balls that I thought he shouldn't have won or that he'd done well to win? One good pass out to Ward agreed the other actually took a deflection from their defender to make it look like a good pass - where it was also extremely close to being cut out or hitting the said defender and going in another direction.

Hyam isn't a playmaker, but he doesn't do much of the fetch and carry either - twice in the second half Connolly had the ball and Hyam was about 30 yards away from his centre mid partner not looking for the ball when there were no options on - from a midfield player this is terrible - whether you think he's a ball player or not, he is apparently a central midfield player and needs to be showing options even if they aren't used all of the time.

Central midfield is where the play is supposed to go through hence it being one of if not the most important part of the pitch. Before your counter argument is that the ball bypasses the midfield - you've just told me Hyam won lots of aerial balls - you cant have it both ways!!!

Tell me what he did that constituted a good game please?

Passed the ball into touch or sold people short so they had no choice but to go long or get tackled....

I was there and Hyam was awful.... He didn't keep the ball at all. He showed for 4 throw ins to feet from centre mid all game which is bad enough but all four of them were so bad back to the thrower that he had no choice but to hook it line or it went for a throw.

He constantly have the ball away time after time after time or got robbed with it.

He runs around a lot and normally sticks a big tackle in - but he didn't do that last night.

You tell me what you think he did well please? Give me a couple of instances.

I'm not saying that Gleeson was good, Nydam misplaced passes too but at least looked to move forward with his passes. Of the 3 centre mid that started how on earth Hyam is the only one that lasted 90 mins is beyond me!

Can someone tell me how it's possible?

He adds nothing and for a midfielder can't pass water!! His passing must have had a % or below 30% completion rate, this guy is supposedly a championship midfielder

Plan A....
at 22:23 13 Mar 2018

So Freddie Sears with Celina and Ward playing either side of him.... None of them are about 5'9" and our game plan after surely studying Hull and the way they play is to hoof aimless balls all night down the throat of a former England centre half in Dawson and another big strong centre half in Michael Hector???

Wtf is the point.... There was never ever a chance in hell we were going to score? Why can't Mick or any of the staff see that?

Me and the wife are going to New York for 5 nights next week and while everyone says.... "You have to go to......"

What would you cultured lot recommend as placed to go for foods/drinks etc, any hidden gems out there? Obviously we'll be doing all of the touristy events - but hit me with anything we should be considering!

Cheers

Why keep clapping Lawrence?
at 15:52 30 Dec 2017

He played well for us last season..... Last season!!!

Clap him when his name is read or before the game, or the first corner he takes - fair play.

We're losing 1-0 to a team that personally I dislike and need to get a foot hold in the game fans get behind our team, not happy clapping someone who doesn't have any affiliation to us anymore.

Plus we're playing poorly... Maybe I'm just grumpy about that!
