Who is the next manager going to be in the event lambert doesn’t survive until end of season? |
| Forum Thread | Lambert won’t turn this around at 19:15 4 Jan 2020
The rot has well and truly set in, players all over the place, rotating for,the sake of it. In truth I think lambert feels he’s a much better coach than he actually is. I simply cannot see him turning this around, through a combination of incompetence on lambert’s behalf and the players not understanding what he wants them to do (if there’s anything at all). It didn’t turn around for Hurst and I cannot see it working for lambert either. Evans is some mug, how that guy made so much money i’ll never know. Nothing to do now except watch this slow long decline continue on. |

Evans and Lambert - united by their incompetence, they deserve each other. Evans is and always will be the worst thing to happen to this club. My only way of understanding this contract extension is that Lambert said to him, ‘look they players won’t respond to me if they know I’m gone in 18 months’. But I agree with others who say chambers and skuse need to be offloaded , driftwood at this stage the pair of them. |

the problem for ITFC, and it's an enormous problem, is that neither the owner or manager has a clue how to run a football club. Marcus Evans has invested his money for very little return, this is down to him hiring the wrong managers, not backing them enough financially and generally wasting his own money. He now seems to have reached the conclusion that he has invested very poorly by buying ITFC and doesn't want to invest anymore, content to cut his losses while the club drifts into obscurity. i don't see any way out of this mess as long as Evans is at the helm. We are totally directionless on and off the pitch. While Lambert is getting stick for poor footballing performances, and rightly so, Evans needs to either invest or sell. |

i can't see evans making a change, he's notoriously conservative when it comes to getting rid of managers. plus who would take over? |
| Forum Reply | I would say 2 words sum up this club at 20:09 19 Apr 2019
And Evans says we are not a club in crisis! What utter rubbish. We are at our lowest ebb ever and that total spoofer says no crisis. He is the biggest stain on our club’s history. Nothing will improve until he leaves. |

What would prompt Evans to sell? What is the actual point of his continuing ownership. Even Jeff Stelling mentioned how Hurst could not succeed on a shoestring budget. I think this season is done. Relegated for sure. |

If making the worst managerial appointments in our history is salvation I’ll pass. If having the lowest average season ticket sales in our history is salvation I’ll pass. If making ITFC synonymous with turgid route one football is salvation I’ll pass. If signing about 1000 loan players over 10 years is salvation I’ll pass. If ensuring we are getting relegated to league 1 is salvation I’ll pass on that too. But yeah he’s been great has Marcus Evans. |

One thing is certain the Marcus Evans era at ITFC is the single worst period of ownership in our history. A litany of woeful managerial appointments one after another. And we’re told by some we’d be screwed without him. Anyway it’s October and we’re getting relegated. |

Totally crazy fro chambers under no pressure whatsoever. Astonishing stuff. |

Isn’t your post part of the problem, ‘we’re not evolving’, like that happens in a 10 game period. This is hopefully a long term plan on behalf of the board, management and FANS. |

I don’t seee the point in throwing in the towel after 9 games. Remember Leicester under Pearson a couple of seasons ago, couldn’t win an argument before Xmas, bottom of the prem at Xmas only to rally and produce some incredible results to stay up. The board didn’t panic after 9 games. We shouldn’t either. What if Hurst is sacked and replaced by somebody who doesn’t get results within his first 10 game spell, sack him too? No patience anymore. |

Sam nor any other manager with any sense of timing wouldn’t touch ITFC with a barge pole right now. The club is a basket case at all levels. |
| Forum Reply | Absolutely abysmal - League one here we come at 16:54 15 Sep 2018
I’m afraid it’s worse than I wanted to acknowledge up to now. Maybe if I stop fighting it and accept we’re probably getting relegated. The insistence on 1 up front only, home or away is truly baffling. Then expecting 35 year old Jonny Walters to be effective in that role at his age is so difficult to understand. Playing Graham even more difficult to understand. I actually wish Hurst would tell us what he’s trying to achieve with these tactics. |
| Forum Reply | Man Utd not the same team as they were under Ferguson with Mourinho in charge at 16:49 19 Aug 2018
I wonder if the reported ambition of a certain individual with the initials ZZ has marked Jose down in terms of time left as Utd manager. The board didn’t back him in the transfer market and that’s always a sign that the manager isn’t secure in his position. Would be interesting to say the least if ZZ took over there. |
| Forum Thread | Timeframe for team to gel and progress? at 19:21 8 Aug 2018
Hi What are people’s expectations for the length of time it will take for the ‘new’ team to gel and progress under Hurst. We are, hopefully, going to see a transformation in the long term of how the team sets up, passes and press the opposition. I think 10 - 12 games for it all to settle down and we begin to see some consistency in terms of selection, performance and results. I’m certainly not expecting miracles this season just steady visible progress. Maybe the new year for some serious progress. What do you think or expect? |
