| News Comment | MDs Not Expecting McCarthy Ireland Exit at 20:46:41
If IM and JS are doing their jobs they should be sounding out the best potential successors as most Town fans polled seem to think Mick will go. |
| News Comment | Taylor Makes Second Posh Debut at 11:26:47
What are the conditions that take the cost of PT to 2.5m? No way he could be worth that and seems like a very bad deal negotiated by the previous regime. Mick has brought some much needed shrewdness to our transfer dealings and he is probably amazed at the clueless way that money was wasted. |
| News Comment | Berra Links Resurface at 11:15:38
Great to get some good back up for Smith and Chambers but hope we keep these two as first choice after they developed such a good partnership last season. |
| News Comment | Clegg Appointed Badminton Chief at 22:23:51
Just be glad we've now got straight talking Mick and no longer have to listen to all that Twenty Twelve BS. |
| News Comment | Drury's Future Undecided at 18:09:51
Agree with Earl60 we seem to do better with the Drury/ Hyam combination but be interested to see the stats. Hope he can prove it in the next few games and win a new contract. |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Chopra Lives for Goals at 16:39:39
Glad to see Mick is backing Chops as he's still our best option for goals. Get him to put a bet on himself to get a goal a game to the end of the season. |
| News Comment | Clegg Joins Madrid at 14:11:18
"indisputable economic impact of London 2012 to the UK" - what about the triple dip recession? |
| News Comment | Chief Executive Clegg to Leave Town at 17:12:21
A decent man but not a football man and therefore not a good appointment by Evans. Difficult to say how much power he had and therefore to what extent he was responsible for the disastrous transfer dealings of the Roy Kean era, letting Rhodes go for a fraction of his worth stands out among many, but even if these were RK's decisions, no football man as CEO would have sanctioned the bad deals that were made. Good luck to him but he was a square peg in a round hole and Mick McCarthy is a shrewd operator who can benefit from cutting out the middle man. |
| News Comment | Bowden Named Essex Chief at 16:33:03
Strange coincidence that Bowden should be moving on at the same time as Clegg. Bowden was a good CEO who knew about football and had Marcus kept him on instead of going for a "name", we might well have been back in the Premiership by now. Sorry he isnt coming back but good luck to him at Essex cricket. |
| News Comment | Bristol City 2-1 Town at 17:13:57
Understandable that MM wants to play new signings but would have liked to see Chopra come on who had a good record against Bristol |
| News Comment | Scotland's Contract Settled at 17:09:06
Wish Mick had given him a chance as he is a proven sorer at this level but we are now overweight in younger strikers so good luck to Jason and he won't be short of offers. |
| News Comment | Redknapp: DJ Could Still Have QPR Future at 16:15:06
Harry's a wheeler dealer and is just upping the ante to get a better price for a player who will be a free agent in the summer. Rumour has it he'll go for Darren Bent or Remy from Marseille in January and only if he's unsuccessful is he likely to bring DJ back. Fortunately MM is also a shrewd operator and isn't likely to pay over the odds - it all depends how desperate the situation is for both clubs come January by which time I suspect that both sides will be on the up. |
| News Comment | Campbell Yet to Talk to Redknapp at 20:55:05
Harry will definitely let him go - he's got better strikers at the club already in Cisse, Mackie, Johnson and Zamora to name but 4; at 31 Campbell''s not a long term prospect for QPR and he would probaby not get a new contract at the end of the season in any case so Harry will jump at the chance to get a bit of cash towards rebuilding QPR in the summer. |
| News Comment | McCarthy Hints at Changes for Posh Clash at 09:51:11
After last week's fiasco we should revert to the team that beat Burnley so hope Orr drops to the subs bench. The moral of last week was that you don't disrupt a winning team unless it's forced on you by injuries. |
| News Comment | McCarthy Could Add to Squad Before Deadline at 15:56:34
As Bluefeast says our predicament is down to bad management not the players ever since the takeover by ME. We can only hope that they've finally appointed the right manager but it is heart-breaking to look at the list of mistakes made mainly by Roy Keane who left this club in dire straits with his disastrous transfer dealings though the CEO must take a share of the blame for allowing the contracts of good players like Macauly and Norris to run down and for his failure to keep Keane in check. |
| News Comment | Town Move for Barnett at 14:04:16
Our main problem is that we keep bringing in mediocre loan players with no real loyalty to the club rather than organising our own players more effectively. Hoped this would end with MM coming in but seems to be continuing. |
