| Forum Reply | Anyone know how to pick up from Heathrow without paying £35? at 06:33 29 Oct 2022
It seems you've already done the pick up but not many people are aware of the free travel zone around Heathrow on public transport... It is for everyone's use but is mostly used by staff or people going to/from the airport hotels. The tube is free around the Heathrow area up until Hatton cross which you could park nearby for a quick pick up. I tend to use the London buses for free which go under the Heathrow tunnel and along bath road (A4). I normally pick up and drop off at McDonalds which has a few hours wait time... Looking at 10 minutes maximum journey time The link below has a map with the bus routes you can travel for free https://www.businesstraveller.com/features/what-is-the-heathrow-free-travel-zone |
| Forum Thread | Wycombe top... at 08:20 9 Sep 2019
...albeit our postponement, I find it no suprise to see Wycombe top of the league.... ...they are a very neat outfit with small budget, it was only 5 years ago they were 1 game away from relegation from the football league. A quality manager in Gareth Ainsworth who bleeds light and dark blue.. ..and you can see it in the players too.. ..mainly rejects, free transfers and youngsters that ooze quality. As someone that works in wycombe, its been great to see there rise, a community club which runs partly on volunteers... I'm really looking forward to seeing us play them.. ..(obviously hoping for a town win) town top and Wycombe 2nd would do just lovely! |
| Forum Thread | World Cup Bars for the England Games? at 09:43 12 Jun 2018
Wondering if anyone could recommend good bars to watch the World Cup for the England games (...and the rest of the tournement for when we get knocked out). I'm looking at massive beer gardens with big screens as preference!! Over the month I'll be in Taunton, Worcester, Bristol, Paris (Versailles), Derry and Edinburgh (Leith). Anything would be most welcome!! |
