Town defender Troy Brown has been named in the Wales U21 squad for their opening European Championships qualifier in Andorra on Tuesday 29th March.

Brown, who is amongst the legion of players out of contract in the summer, has previously won two caps at U21 level.

Wales U21s: Rhys Taylor - Chelsea (on loan at Crewe Alexandra), David Cornell - Swansea City (on loan at Port Talbot Town), Daniel Alfei - Swansea City, Tom Bender - Colchester United, Troy Brown - Ipswich Town, Paul Dummett - Newcastle United, Ashley Richards - Swansea City, Adam Matthews - Cardiff City, Joe Allen - Swansea City, Billy Bodin - Swindon Town, Lee Lucas - Swansea City, Joe Partington - AFC Bournemouth, Jonathan Williams - Crystal Palace, Ryan Doble - Southampton, Elliott Chamberlain - Leicester City, Robert Ogleby - Heart of Midlothian, Jake Taylor - Reading, Jake Cassidy - Wolverhampton Wanderers.

I think Troy has a future in the game, and would like so see him given a new contract.

def warrents a contract, think he is a very good player and actually didnt do badly at right back either. Given a run in the team would be excellent and a defender who likes the ball at his feet too!
