I love him as a player but he seems like a brilliant bloke who has been through a lot.
His dad killed himself at the same time as his mum had cancer and he talks about how he wants to be a good role model, and about how boys do cry.

I was only vaguely aware of his history and upbringing so when I read that I felt even more admiration for the bloke (and will probably add his book to by Christmas list)
A couple of quotes really stand out to me, in particular stories of his maiden test century and being on 95 not out at lunch (having been out for 95 4 years earlier)
