Best Live Band 70s/80s 16:14 - Nov 15 with 25450 viewsitfcpaul

What's the best live band you have seen recently who arrived in the late 70s 80s?

I will start with a few thoughts:
OMD
Gary Numan
Barenaked Ladies
Green Day
ELO
Midge Ure

What's yours?

I went to see Heatwave the other week, who were great.

Why

Well, when I was younger there were live gigs everywhere & they were not expensive.
Now they are not only expensive but not local.

I did ask for bands you had seen recently that arrived in the 70s 80s. not sure how many of those who are still touring

If they still are I apologise although there are some brilliant bands

I believe the criteria was still gigging now, if that is not the case the Ramones, followed by the Ramones, then the Ramones.

ah oops / try again

Adam Ant - Toronto this spring - ace
Damned -Toronto in spring - awesome, except for the Captain falling off stage and breaking rib thus ending the encore
X (LA primo punk band) on 40th anniversary tour on my birthday this Sept in Buffalo

The Adicts - on my 50th birthday in NYC, on guest-list, and was crowd-surfed while the band played Happy Birthday (known them for aeons); can take the boy out of Ipswich...

Suffolk/ Norfolk border.

I missed the PF reunion in Hyde Park but London gigs are now essentially unaffordable
